First, you will need to open your Spreadex Account.
Log in, go to My Account, and click 'Find Out More' under Account Summary to apply for professional status.
Once you have applied you will need to speak to our customer services team to verify your information.
FAQs
Do I need to open a standard account before I can apply for Spreadex Pro?
Yes, clients can only apply for Spreadex Pro if they already have a standard spread betting or CFD trading account. Create an account here.
Which protections are available to professional clients?
If you are eligible, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme may provide compensation up to £85,000. Check your eligibility .
How will I know when I’ve been switched from a standard account to Spreadex Pro?
We’ll contact you by email to notify you when your application has been approved. You can still trade on your standard account during the process.
What happens to my open positions and available funds when I upgrade?
If your application is successful, we will move your positions and funds over automatically.
What regulations currently apply to retail clients?
In August 2018, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) introduced new regulations across the leveraged trading industry to try to improve outcomes for retail clients. Learn more about the ESMA regulations here.
Can I switch back to being a retail client?
Of course, although clients would need to cover any uplift in margin when moving back to the retail account to avoid immediate closure.
