FIGHTING POET is forecast to start as the 3-1 favourite for this 1m4f handicap on the strength of his course and distance win on August 20th. However, that was the six-year-old’s first win at the 20th attempt, and he looked flattered by the track bias on the day – the headwind made life tough for front-runners and the majority of the winners arrives late/wide after getting plenty of cover early. Throw in today’s much softer and he looks value to sell at 16 in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Fixed odds punters might want to consider FEN TIGER, who has a solid record in Class 6 handicaps after a recent outing.
