LINGFIELD 3.00

Progeny of the sire Mehmas have a good record in nurseries on Polytrack, with 16 from 66 (24.2%) for a profit of £109.46 to a £1 level stake at SP and ELLOMATE, poorly drawn when fourth in a 5f handicap on turf here last time, will appreciate the switch of surfaces and could improve for the first-time cheekpieces. Only seven of the sire’s representatives have run in Polytrack nurseries in cheekpieces (first time or otherwise) and they recorded form figures of 2131331 (3-7). Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

MUSSELBURGH 3.15

ODD VENTURE has a respectable record when contesting Class 6 contests on turf after a recent outing (within four weeks), recording form figures under such conditions of 0006194240103 (2-13) for a profit of £16.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. Two of those runs came here at Musselburgh and they produced a 5-1 win in this race last year and a 12-1 third earlier this month. Micky Hammond’s veteran clocked a good speed figure for his latest effort, and it will be disappointing if he’s not in the first two. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.40

Hollie Doyle has a good record when riding in all-weather handicaps for Phil Kirby, scoring on eight of her 30 mounts for a profit of £12.04 to a £1 level stake at SP. Eight of the 20 beaten horses finished second or third and CASA LUNA can put her recent course and distance disappointment behind her now that Doyle is back on board. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back her each-way in the fixed odds betting.
