Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Scotland have secured direct qualification to a major tournament since 1997 whilst football betting punters witnessed a shock result last night as Wales kept their own Euro 20204 qualification hopes alive with a 2-1 over Croatia in Cardiff.
Aside from the international football, there were plenty of big winning bets in the major sporting events of the weekend and in this betting blog, we will run through three of them.

There is only one place to start this week’s betting blog and that is in Delhi where 1/7 favourites England were turned over by Afghanistan in one of the biggest Cricket World Cup betting upsets of all time.
Afghanistan are the second-lowest ranked team at the World Cup so to beat the defending champions was quite something. In our cricket spread betting Supremacy market, England were 37-47 favourites just before play began and even after Afghanistan had finished 284 all out, the in-play betting had the spread at 36-44.
However, England were dismal with the bat as some excellent spin bowling from the irrepressible Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman saw them both finish with three wickets apiece as the defending champions limped to a 69-run defeat.
That saw the Supremacy spread settle at -69 as those who placed a sell bet landed a win of 106x their stake.
Over 16,500 fans packed into Meadow Lane on Saturday as Notts County played host to Mansfield with both Nottinghamshire sides up towards the top of League 2. County took the lead with three minutes on the clock, but Louis Reed was able to equalise for the Stags midway through the first half.
Mansfield are the only unbeaten side left in the top four divisions and they sealed the win with three goals in 11 second half minutes to run out 4-1 winners against their local rivals.
One of our football spread betting markets is Total Goal Minute Supremacy which in this match was priced at -8 – 6 in Notts County’s favour. For this spread we take County’s Total Goal Minutes (3) and subtract Mansfield’s Total Goal Minutes (250) which leaves the spread to settle at -247.
All of this means that those who placed a sell bet on the match landed a big winning bet of 239x their stake.
The Super League reached its conclusion at the weekend as Wigan played Catalans Dragons at Old Trafford. It was a fitting way to end the season with the league leaders playing the side that finished second in the regular season and it was Wigan who headed into this match as narrow favourites.
It was a nip and tuck match which was perhaps lacking a bit of quality but high in tension as Wigan turned a 2-2 half-time scoreline into a 10-2 win thanks to a converted Liam Marshall try and a penalty from Harry Smith. It was the second time in three years Catalans have come up short in the final and they will have been bitterly disappointed to have scored just two points.
The French side’s profligacy was good news to those who placed a sell bet on our Match Cross-Points market however, which settled at 20 against a pre-match spread of 200-222. This rugby spread betting market sees the two sides’ scores multiplied together so sellers on Saturday won 180x their stake.
The action doesn’t stop for those who enjoy online betting on rugby league however, with England’s three match series with Tonga on the horizon alongside men’s and women’s matches from the Pacific Championships.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
