A busy period of two rounds of Premier League fixtures over six days begins tonight with Hull v Everton on Sky Sports 1 at 8pm, but can the Tigers stop their recent rot against the Toffees? After winning their first two games of the season, Hull have only managed to win once match since in the Premier League and find themselves bottom of the pile on goal difference from the equally hapless Swansea. To make matters worse, The Tigers have collected just five points from a possible 33 available since Mike Phelan was appointed permanent boss in October scoring just seven goals in that time and conceding a whopping 25. So, unsurprisingly, the Spreadex traders make Everton the favourites here with a spread betting Goal Supremacy price of Everton/Hull (h) 0.45 – 0.65 and with the fixed odds prices Hull 10/3, Everton 19/20 and the draw 12/5. Spreadex punters also seem equally convinced that Ronald Koeman’s side will come away with the points and we’ve seen plenty of buyers of Everton’s Supremacy and buyers of Total Goals on a spread of 2.4 – 2.6. Romelu Lukaku, with 10 league goals so far and three in his last four, is the main attraction for clients who have been buying his Super Mega Goal Minutes on a spread of 39 – 46, plus we’ve also seen healthy in interest in Headed Goal Minutes on a price of 18 – 21 and Penalty Goal Minutes on a quote of 10 – 13. New Year’s Eve’s TV game is one that looks attractive to the neutral as Liverpool host Man City at Anfield on BT Sport 1 at 5.30pm. Liverpool have lost just once in their last 20 games in all competitions winning 15 of the remaining 19 and currently sit second in the table, six points behind runaway leaders Chelsea. City are just a point behind the Reds having recorded three wins in a row to recover from a rocky period before that when the Citizens won just four out of 15 matches in all competitions. Pep Guardiola’s side have been helped by Yaya Toure’s eventual emergence this season after making peace with the new manager and will also be boosted by the return of leading scorer Sergio Aguero following his four match suspension. The Spreadex traders still give Liverpool the advantage though with a spread betting Goal Supremacy price of Liverpool/City 0.1 – 0.3 and with the fixed odds prices Liverpool 7/5, City 2/1 and the draw 5/2. Spreadex punters seem undecided with most bets pointing towards the draw, which would do neither manager any favours in their attempts to catch Chelsea at the top. Clients do however seem united in their view that it could be a fiery affair with plenty of buyers of Bookings on a price of 46 – 50. New Year’s Day sees two TV matches for viewers to slum out to after their possible excesses the previous night. First up is Watford v Tottenham at 1.30pm on Sky Sports 1 with our spread betting Goal Supremacy price Tottenham/Watford 0.8 – 1 and the fixed odds showing Watford 9/2, Tottenham 8/13 and the draw 14/5. With Tottenham having won five of their last six and Watford conversely having won just one of their last six, Spreadex punters seem to be expecting nothing less than a Spurs win buyers on the Supremacy price and sellers of Time of 1st Spurs Goal on a spread of 44 – 47, indicating clients think the visitors will score before the 44th minute of the match. At 4pm it’s Arsenal v Crystal Palace on Sky Sports 1 with the spread betting Goal Supremacy price giving the hosts a rather comfortable advantage of Arsenal/Palace 1.55 – 1.75 while the fixed odds have Arsenal 1/3, the draw 9/2 and Palace a chunky-looking 9/1. Palace may only have one win in 12, but the arrival of Sam Allardyce will no doubt help solidify the Eagles’ previously porous defence. Whether the former England boss will have had time to make enough of an impact before the clash with the Gunners remains to be seen. However, Arsenal have not exactly been emphatic at home in recent encounters leaving it very late in a 1-0 win against West Brom, having to come from behind to down Stoke 3-1, losing 2-0 to Southampton in the EFL Cup quarter-finals, rather fortuitously beating Bournemouth 3-1 and then drawing with both PSG and Tottenham before that. Spreadex clients though don’t seem tempted to have a nibble of Palace and instead we’ve seen money coming in for Arsenal on the Goal Supremacy market and fixed odds outright match odds. We’ve also had a few buyers on our corners markets on a Corners spread of 11 – 11.5 and Corners Squared price of 136 – 148.
