Can Manchester City avoid another Barca-embarrassment when they host the Spanish champions at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2? After a truly disastrous trip to the Nou Camp, with that 4-0 loss coming in the middle of City’s 5 game winless run in all competitions, Pep Guardiola and co. re-found their mojo last weekend, putting 4 past West Brom to maintain their position at the top of the table. Key to that victory was Sergio Aguero, whose brace may well have put him back in Guardiola’s good books. And after not starting in Spain a couple of weeks ago the Argentine will be looking to do what his countryman did last time around, and heads into Tuesday night at a Super Mega PGM of 38-44. The countryman in question is, of course, Lionel Messi, whose hat-trick helped sink City in the Spanish leg of this fixture. Messi is unsurprisingly Barcelona’s top scorer so far this season, his 14 goals in all competitions (7 in La Liga, 6 in the Champions League and 1 in the Supercopa de Espana) leaving with a Super Mega PGM of 44-51. Not to be outdone Luis Suarez has 10 goals and a spread of 39-46, while Neymar, who missed a penalty against City only to score minutes later, is at 21-25. Though the final score should be tighter than it was a few weeks ago a win over West Brom, however large, isn’t exactly adequate prep for the Catalan giants. In other words it looks likely to be an away win, with Spreadex offering a Barcelona/Manchester City (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0-0.2 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.2-3.4. Elsewhere, will it be another cricket score for Arsenal when they travel to Ludorgorets Razgrad at 7.45pm on BT Sport 3? Like City Arsenal won big last weekend, a 4-1 thrashing of Sunderland (admittedly not a tall order) that leaves the London club behind their Manchester rivals on goal difference alone. That means the Gunners haven’t lost since their opening day defeat to Liverpool; they are, however, entering their toughest period yet. Not only has November traditionally been the worst month for the club under Arsene Wenger’s reign, but this time around it sees them face Tottenham, Manchester United and PSG one after another. Luckily their game against Ludogorets should help them get November off to a strong start. In the home leg Arsenal put 6 past the Bulgarian champions, with a hat-trick from Ozil (who sits at a Super Mega PGM of 26-31) joined by goals from Sanchez (at 56-66), Oxlaide-Chamberlain (at 22-27) and Theo Walcott. Walcott is injured heading into Tuesday night meaning Olivier Giroud, who scored twice on Saturday, will get another chance to fight for his place in the starting line-up; the Frenchman goes into the game at a Super Mega PGM of 64-74. Much like it was at the weekend a Gunners victory is less of an if, and more of a how much by; Spreadex are offering an Arsenal/Ludogorets (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.4-1.6 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.15-3.35.
