Can Chelsea hold onto the Group C top spot with a win over Atletico Madrid, at 7.45pm on BT Sport 3? The Blues already have a place in the last 16, locked-down with a routine 4-0 win over group whipping boys Qarabag. Yet they’re in danger of not finishing in 1st if they fail to beat Atletico and Roma – as one would expect – hammer the Azerbaijani champions, all thanks to that 3-0 loss to the Italians at the end of October. Luckily Chelsea are coming off a fine run of domestic form, most recently beating Newcastle 3-1 thanks to a brace from Eden Hazard (who has a Super Mega PGM of 25-30) and goal from Alvaro Morata (at 35-41). Atletico, meanwhile, will be out for revenge after Michy Batshuayi’s 94th minute stinger saw Chelsea steal the win in Madrid back in September. Atletico are actually yet to lose a game in La Liga this season; however, they may have to settle for the Europa League last 32 rather than the Champions League last 16, as even a win at Stamford Bridge won’t put them through if Roma beat Qarabag. The Blues will be keen to give themselves the best chance in the knockouts, and sit at a Chelsea/Atletico Madrid Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7. Unlike the Blues, Man United are effectively guaranteed to finish 1st in Group A, unless they lose to CSKA Moscow by 4 goals or more; the Russians will give it their best at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2. United’s silly slip-up against Basel spoilt what had until that point been a perfect record in the group stages. Still, with Jesse Lingard compensating for Lukaku’s slump – though the English youngster trails the Belgian at a Super Mega PGM of 15-19 to 45-52 – Mourinho won’t be too worried about relinquishing the top spot. As for CSKA, they really could do with a shock win at Old Trafford. They might be able to make do with a draw, but that would require Basel – who are level on points with CSKA, but have a better head-to-head goal difference – to lose to Benfica, who are yet to put any points on the board. Realistically the Russians are facing an uphill battle, with Spreadex offering a Man United/CSKA Moscow Goal Supremacy spread of 1.2-1.4 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.6-2.8. Finally, though they’re out of the Champions League, Celtic can secure a place in the Europa League with anything but a loss against Anderlecht, at 7.45pm on BT Sport ESPN. Nothing captures the bubble Celtic find themselves then the fact that they are yet to lose a game domestically this season, but in the Champions League proper have lost 4 and one once, conceding 12 goals against PSG alone. Luckily for them Anderlecht have been even worse and are, alongside Benfica and Feyenoord, one of 3 sides yet to pick up a point. When they met in Belgian in September Celtic romped to an easy 3-0 victory, with goals for Leigh Griffiths (who has a Super Mega PGM of 32-38), Scott Sinclair (at 35-41) and Patrick Roberts. They’ll be aiming for a similar result on Tuesday, at a Celtic/Anderlecht Goal Supremacy spread of 0.6-0.8 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.85-3.05.
