Can Chorley nab a cheeky FA Cup 1st round scalp when they host Fleetwood Town, at 7.45pm on BT Sport 1?

The Magpies have already been in the competition for a while now, entering the Cup in the 2nd qualifying round. There they beat the mighty Stalybridge County 3-1, setting up a 3rd qualifying round tie against Ashton Athletic, a game Chorley narrowly escaped 1-0.

A 0-0 home draw in their 4th round qualifying fixture against Boston United forced a (thrilling) replay, which Chorley eventually won 4-3 in extra-time despite playing a chunk of the extension with only 10 men.

As for Fleetwood Town, they’re yet to make an appearance in the FA Cup this season. Instead they’ve just been chugging along in League One, stuck after losing their 2016/17 play-off semi-final to Bradford City.
