betting-preview-landing-page-header

The first two matchdays of the new Championship season have flown by and it is now time for matchday 3 - as always we preview the latest news and betting odds for our Spreadex-partner clubs!

LEEDS V WEST BROMWICH ALBION, FRIDAY 8PM

The first match of the week involving a Spreadex side is at Elland Road where West Bromwich Albion travel to Leeds. The home side have had a less than ideal start back to life in the second tier and have only picked up one point from a possible six, while the Baggies overcame their losing start to grab an exciting 3-2 win over Swansea last time out.

However, the hosts are slightly fancied to grab a first victory with a Goal Supremacy of 0.25 - 0.45, which translates to Leeds at 23/20 on the fixed odds with both the draw and a West Brom win at 5/2. Total Goals is 2.5-2.7 whilst spread punters can also play our Goals Cubed spread which is priced at 38-44.

There are also a range of fixed odds PRICE BOOSTS available for the game, including on Joe Gelhardt or John Swift to score anytime, and some of our #NAMEIT markets such as Joe Gelhardt To Score First & Daniel James To Score Last boosted from 18/1 to 33/1!

BLACKBURN ROVERS v HULL, SATURDAY 3PM

Blackburn have been an entertaining side to watch so far this season with plenty of goals in their three matches so far this campaign (one EFL Cup tie), but they will surely trade that for a drama-free win against visitors Hull here. However, the away side have been entertainers themselves and grabbed a dramatic 4-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

Rovers had the upper hand in the H2H last season as they grabbed a 1-0 win away and drew 0-0 at home, but a much more goal-filled occasion is predicted here with a Total Goals spread of 2.65 - 2.85.

Blackburn are available at 10/11 to get the three points, with the draw at 11/4 and Hull at 3/1. You can also back both teams to score at 4/6.

LEICESTER V CARDIFF CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

After a mixed start to the campaign for Cardiff, the Bluebirds' fixtures don't get any easier with this trip to the title favourites Leicester, who have so far had a perfect start to the campaign as they aim for an immediate return to the top flight. However, they came into their season opener against Leeds as underdogs and were unlucky to only come away with a draw, and also - interestingly - beat Leicester in their last H2H meeting.

However, the Foxes are favoured to get the win with a Goal Supremacy of 1.05 - 1.25, which translates to fixed odds match odds of 8/15, with the draw at 7/2 and Cardiff at 5/1. You can back a 1-0 Cardiff win (as in their last meeting) at 14/1.

Total Goals have been priced at 2.65 - 2.85 with TGMs at 136 - 146 and 1st Match Goal at 34 - 37.

STOKE V WATFORD, SATURDAY 3PM

Both of these sides have had mixed starts to the season with impressive opening-day wins being followed by defeats in their subsequent league matches - will the Hornets be able to bounce back at the home of the Potters? H2H form certainly suggests there is room for optimism as Watford have won four of the previous five meetings between the sides.

This fixture last season in particular was a fond memory for Watford as they came away with a 4-0 away win, which was also the same scoreline as their opening fixture of the season against QPR - could they replicate the same result again? You can back that match result at a massive 50/1!

Finally, in the match odds market, Watford are 23/20, Stoke are 6/5 and you can back the draw at 5/2. This translates to a slight Goal Supremacy in favour of Stoke at 0.2 - 0.4.

MIDDLESBROUGH V HUDDERSFIELD TOWN, SATURDAY 3PM

Huddersfield have had a highly-disappointing start so far and fears may begin to grow of a repeat of last season's struggles taking hold once again, but a trip to fellow-strugglers Middlesbrough may provide them with an opportunity to open their account for the season at The Riverside.

H2H form in the league paints a similar picture of two sides relatively evenly matched, with two wins apiece and a draw within those five. However, Huddersfield did come out on top in the last league meeting back in April with a 4-2 success.

With both sides' defences looking porous, the Total Goals spread for this one stands at 2.7 - 2.9, but the home side begin as favourites with a Goal Supremacy of 0.65 - 0.85 and match odds of 3/4, with the draw at 3/1 and Huddersfield at 18/5.

SUNDERLAND V ROTHERHAM, SATURDAY 3PM

Principal partners Sunderland will be looking to get their season on track and avoid any lingering hangover from their play-off disappointment from last season after failing to score their first point of the campaign thus far. However, facing a side at home that they beat 3-0 in the corresponding fixture last season and that have shipped six goals in two league matches so far should provide some optimism.

Consequently, our traders have priced Sunderland with a Goal Supremacy of 0.8 - 1.0 and at a fixed odds price of 4/6, with the draw at 3/1 and Rotherham at 17/4. A repeat of last season's 3-0 win can be backed at 11/1.

We also have several price boosts available for this one, including Bradley Dack to score anytime boosted from 29/20 to 13/8, and Sunderland to win & both teams to score boosted from 23/10 to 27/10!

NORWICH CITY V MILLWALL, SUNDAY 12PM

And finally, we look at Norwich City hosting visitors from London this weekend for the Sunday lunchtime fixture where they will be 11/10 favourites for their clash with Millwall. The Canaries have been flying in front of goal so far this season and sit joint-top of the scoring charts with Southampton, with whom they drew 4-4 last time out.

The visitors, meanwhile, have had a low-key start to the season with just a single goal scored and conceded, courtesy of a 1-0 win in their season opener and a disappointing 1-0 defeat last time out, sandwiching a highly-disappointing 4-0 defeat in the EFL Cup. Both of these sides' last two league meetings saw at least two goals though, and the Total Goals spread here stands at 2.45 - 2.65.

Bookings markets may be of interest to punters due to the new refereeing crackdown, and Norwich's Kenny McClean picked up the earliest yellow card in recorded EFL history after just 15 seconds against Southampton!
