2024/25 Championship Betting Preview Week 13

landing-page-cship-blog

There will be plenty of online betting action this weekend, with just four of the 12 matches this weekend featuring an odds on favourite. In this betting blog we preview the weekend’s action featuring our eight partner clubs in the second tier.

LUTON TOWN v WEST BROMWICH ALBION, FRIDAY 8PM

Partner club West Bromwich Albion travel south to Kenilworth Road this evening off the back of four consecutive draws and the Baggies are 9/4 to make it five draws on the spin.

Since beating bitter rivals Watford Luton have recorded back-to-back defeats against Sunderland and Coventry, but with six goals across their last three league matches, they will be hopeful of collecting a fourth win of the season at 7/4.

An away win can be backed at 6/4 and we have some boosted bets this evening as well with Carlton Morris 23/10 from 19/10 to hit the back of the net tonight and Josh Maja 11/1 from 17/2 to score two or more.

BLACKBURN ROVERS v SHEFFIELD UNITED, SATURDAY 12:30PM

A rocky run of form has seen Blackburn Rovers fall away from their lofty position early on in the season. They welcome Sheffield United to Ewood Park tomorrow lunchtime, with the visitors narrow 13/8 favourites for the clash whilst a home win is priced at 7/4 and the draw is 2/1.

The Blades have won three of their 12 Championship matches by a 1-0 scoreline and you can get a Sheffield United 1-0 win at a boosted price of 8/1 from 7/1.

CARDIFF CITY v NORWICH CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

In another match which is hard to call, partner club Norwich City make the long cross-country journey to face Cardiff. The hosts have been rejuvenated under the stewardship of former Cheshunt and Leyton Orient manager Omer Riza and they are unbeaten in their last five league matches.

Norwich boast a similar record, but it is the hosts who are narrowly made the favourites at 6/4 with an away win at 31/20 and the draw chalked up at 5/2.

No side has seen more goals in their matches this seen than Norwich’s total of 38 and you can buy or sell our Total Goals football spread betting market at 2.75-2.95 tomorrow.

PRESTON NORTH END v BRISTOL CITY, SATURDAY 3PM

Draw specialists Bristol City are in town tomorrow as they face partner club Preston at Deepdale.

No one can math the Robins’ total of seven stalemates in the league this year and with four draws in their last five matches, there will certainly be plenty of interest in the draw this weekend at 19/10.

A home win is 6/4 whilst City are 2/1 to get a win which would be invaluable in their chase of a play-off place.

QPR v SUNDERLAND, SATURDAY 3PM

QPR are in all kinds of trouble towards the bottom of the league and the last thing the Rs need is for Sunderland to rock up with the Black Cats in scintillating form.

Under the guidance of Regis Le Bris, the Mackems keep rolling on and they have been trimmed into 15/4 to win the league this season, with only Leeds at 3/4 ahead of them.

Given they have only dropped points in one of their last seven matches, their fancy will make the trip to the capital in plenty of hope and we have seen plenty of action on the 21/20 on them to win tomorrow. With a strong defensive record, there will no doubt be plenty of takers on a Sunderland win to nil at 12/5.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v WATFORD, SATURDAY 3PM

Wednesday were a penalty kick within reaching the League Cup quarter finals, but it is back to the league this weekend for Danny Rohl’s slide and they are a shade of odds on to beat Watford tomorrow at 19/20.

Outside of the play-offs on goal difference, Watford have had a decent season so far and were far from embarrassed in their last trip to Yorkshire when they suffered a 2-1 reverse to Leeds last week. A win on the road for Tom Cleverley’s side can be backed at 14/5 whilst a draw is priced at 12/5.

MILLWALL v BURNLEY, SUNDAY 3PM

We round off the weekend’s action with Millwall’s match with Burnley and there is nothing to split the two sides.

The Londoners have been impressive at home all season and you can back a home win at 17/10 with Burnley the same price to record their seventh win of the season. Former non-league man Macauley Langstaff is 5/2 from 21/10 to score anytime for the Lions, but the Teessider may well have his work cut out given Burnley have shipped just five goals in the league all season.
