Can Wales close the gap on Ireland when they travel to the Aviva Stadium at 7.45pm Sky Sports 1?

After an astonishing run in Euro 2016, World Cup qualification has been a bit of a comedown for Chris Coleman’s side. They have only won once, a 4-0 thrashing of Moldova, drawing their other games against Austria, Georgia and Serbia. Given that only one team in each group is guaranteed to reach Russia in 2018 that just isn’t good enough, meaning Wales could really do with all 3 points on Friday evening.

What makes a win even more of a necessity is that Ireland currently sit 4 points above Wales at the top of the table. If Bale is in full flight on Friday then Ireland should be worried.
