Though the weekend’s biggie actually occurs on Monday – when Tottenham host Man City – there is still plenty for Premier League aficionados to get their teeth into this Saturday and Sunday. With no lunchtime kick off, things get underway TV-wise at 5.30pm on BT Sport 1, as West Ham travel to Leicester. Though they briefly looked like they had come out the other side of their woeful start, with 4 straight losses followed by wins against Everton and Man United and a draw with Chelsea, the Hammers have slipped back in October. They opened the month with a 1-0 loss away to Brighton, before seeing the same score line after the international break at home to Tottenham. The Foxes, meanwhile, are lurking just outside the top 10, despite being unable to string more than 2 wins together at a time. September ended with victories over Huddersfield and Newcastle, only for the club to spend October losing to Everton and Arsenal. Nevertheless, they are in a slightly better place than their guests, with Spreadex offering a Leicester/West Ham Goal Supremacy spread of 0.25-0.45 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.5-2.7. Sunday then sees Arsenal chasing a 12th successive victory when they visit Crystal Palace at 1.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League. While not particularly aesthetically pleasing, Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League win in Sporting Lisbon saw Unai Emery’s impressive Gunners record continue, with the Spaniard now looking to put further pressure on Man City and Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table. As for Palace, they’re in danger of slipping into the relegation zone dependant on how the weekend pans out. They’ve got just 7 points from 9 games, with only Huddersfield scoring fewer goals so far. And while defensively they aren’t too bad, the Gunners can be irresistible up front, with Spreadex offering an Arsenal/Crystal Palace (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.7-0.9 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3-3.2. Finally, Man United will try and avoid a further souring of sentiment when they host Everton, at 4pm on Sky Sports Premier League. Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Juventus was the latest instalment in the unravelling of Jose Mourinho’s time in Manchester, with the side now on 1 win in their last 7 fixtures. Each game now carries the weight of potentially being the manager’s last, something that is, obviously, not particularly great for the mental health of the club. Though just 1 point ahead of United, a different set of expectations means the Toffees can be pretty damn pleased with how things are going, especially since they’ve picked up 3 league wins on the trot. The hosts do have it in them, however, if they can just get it together, with Spreadex offering a Man United/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.7-0.9 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.65-2.85.
