As Arsene Wenger’s farewell tour continues, can he get one over his old foe Jose when Arsenal travel to Man United at 4.30pm on Sunday? It’s an understatement to say that Wenger and Mourinho don’t have the best relationship. Therefore the Frenchman must be gagging to get one over his rival – who Wenger, it must be noted, has only beaten twice in 18 attempts – before he departs for pastures new. Frustratingly he has other things to focus on. Despite playing against 10 men for 80 minutes, Arsenal couldn’t kill off their Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid, instead allowing the competition favourites to nab a late equaliser, and crucial away goal, to end the game 1-1. Combine that with the fact that the Gunners can’t really climb any higher in the league, and Wenger may want to hold something in reserve on Sunday. At least he has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to spare, the Gabonese forward at a Super Mega PGM of 22-27. As for United, they still have a bit of work to do in securing 2nd place. And there’s no way Mourinho won’t want to claim one final Wenger scalp, with Spreadex offering a Man United/Arsenal Goal Supremacy spread of 1.25-1.45, alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.95-3.15. Turning back to Saturday and Liverpool face a Champions League-distracting visit from Stoke at 12.30pm. The Reds were majestic against Roma, slaying La Lupa to the tune of 5-2. However, those 2 pesky away goals, and the Italians’ proven ability to overturn a 3 goal deficit, means Jurgen Klopp could likely do without this weekend’s fixture. At least it gives Mohamed Salah, who has a Super Mega PGM of 75-87, more time to break a few more records. Stuck in 19th, 4 points from safety but with one more game played than 17th Swansea, Stoke need a miracle against Liverpool this Saturday. They haven’t won a Premier League fixture since 20th January, and sadly for the Potters that seems unlikely to change, with Spreadex offering a Liverpool/Stoke Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.85 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.1-3.3. Saturday evening then sees Chelsea try and keep their top 4 hopes alive when they face Swansea at 5.30pm. Though 2018 has been a tough, likely job-ending time for Antonio Conte, last weekend’s Wembley win over Southampton did put the Blues through to their 2nd consecutive FA Cup final. And they also still stand an outside chance of reaching next season’s Champions League, even if they do need Spurs to completely unravel over the next few weeks. Swansea, meanwhile, are paddling like mad to keep out of the relegation zone. There’s a 4 point gap between them and Southampton in 18th and Stoke in 19th, a fact that makes the next couple of weeks utterly fascinating, as Swansea’s final 2 games are against those sides. It also means they could really do with getting something from Saturday, even if Spreadex aren’t optimistic, at a Chelsea/Swansea (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.1-1.3 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.6-2.8. Finally early Sunday sees Man City chase Chelsea’s record for most goals in a Premier League season when they visit West Ham at 2.15pm. The Blues’ so far unbeaten tally was 103 back in 2009/10; City are currently on 98, with 4 games to go against the not too difficult likes of West Ham, Huddersfield, Brighton and Southampton. And while it’s a shame Sergio Aguero is out, Pep Guardiola is hardly without options to help him put a cherry on top of his title-winning 2017/18. It’s also worth mentioning that West Ham got beaten by Arsenal 4-1 last weekend, meaning it’s not out of the realms of possibility that City could break the record this Sunday. Spreadex are offering a Manchester City/West Ham (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 1.65-1.75 alongside a Total Goals spread of 3.2-3.4.
