Despite divergent form in the Premier League, Leicester got off to a far better start to their European adventure than Tottenham – will that trend continue this Tuesday? Aiming to get an earlier head start in the race to the knockouts Leicester face their main Group G rivals Porto at 7.45pm on BT Sport 2. Of late the Foxes have looked more like the side people expected to get in 2015/16 than the champions they turned out to be. Already they have matched the 3 league losses they saw last season, and racked up their second 4-1 defeat of the year dismal weekend showing against Manchester United. The one saving grace is that, by the end of a 1st half that saw them 4-0 down, Ranieri made the decision to take off Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, meaning both players, who sit at Super Mega PGMs of 26-31 and 24-29 respectively, should be somewhat fresher than they would have normally been for Tuesday’s game. At least Leicester thwacked Club Brugge 3-0 in their debut Champions League appearance. That’s better than what Porto managed to against Copenhagen, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side only managing a 1-1 draw despite the Danish champions finishing the game with 10 men. Porto have fared better in the Primeira Liga, sitting in 3rd following 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw; an extra bonus has been the form of the young Andre Silva, who has 5 goals so far this season to put him at a Super Mega PGM of 24-29. While, barring their trip to Brugge, Leicester have looked incredibly ropey on the road at home they are yet to lose, meaning Spreadex are offering a Leicester/Porto Goal Supremacy spread of 0.1-0.3 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.4-2.6. Though unbeaten in the league, Tottenham will have been bitterly disappointed with their Wembley-based Champions League return against Monaco; will their fare better when they travel to CSKA Moscow at 7.45pm on BT Sport 3? So far that frail defeat to the French side has been the only real blemish on Spurs’ season, even if they aren’t back to full fighting form just yet. With Harry Kane injured (and suffering a slow start regardless) Pochettino will be pleased that Son Heung-Min, at a Super Mega PGM of..., has roared into life in the past few games, nabbing braces in 2 of his last 3 games. It will be interesting to see what kind of team Pochettino puts out on Tuesday night, with the Argentine caught between the need to get Spurs’ European season back on track and the pressures of Sunday’s visit from Man City. Like Tottenham CKSA Moscow are yet to lose a game in their domestic league (though they are already out of the Russian Cup following a shock defeat to Yenisey Krasnoyarsk. They also put a decent shift in against Bayer Leverkusen in their Champions League opener; after going 2-0 down within 15 minutes the Russian champions managed to get back to 2-2 by half time, a recovery that likely tempers any frustrations about not being able to grab a 3rd goal. Freed from the intimating surroundings of Wembley Spurs might actually end up playing better on Tuesday night; that seems to be the thinking from our traders, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/CSKA Moscow (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.05-0.25 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.4-2.6.
