With Group C still wide open, can Liverpool come away from PSG with a spot in the Champions League knockouts, at 8pm on BT Sport 2? Yet to lose a game in the Premier League – though they were unable to actually beat top flight peers Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal – Liverpool haven’t been quite so shiny in Europe. Their late 3-2 victory over PSG at Anfield was thrilling, and they utterly dominated Red Star, romping to a 4-0 win. Yet away from home they’ve looked like a different side, slumping to 1-0 and 2-0 losses in Napoli and Belgrade respectively. Luckily for the Reds, no-one has been particularly consistent in Group C. Napoli and Liverpool are both on 6 points, with the former leading the latter thanks to their head-to-head record, while PSG are on 5 and Red Star on 4. That’s especially disappointing for the pricey Parisians, who are potentially facing another damp squib season in Europe. The frustrating thing is that they have all the tools at their disposal: Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are both on 13 goals in all competitions, and have Super Mega PGMs of 41-48 and 32-38 respectively, with Edinson Cavani on 10 and at 39-46. Liverpool, meanwhile, will be hoping that Mohamed Salah carries his re-found form into Wednesday night. The Egyptian ace appears to have shaken off his injury-caused dip, with 6 goals in his last 7 games and a Super Mega PGM of 35-41. If their previous fixture is anything to go by it is going to be tight, and hopefully exciting, with Spreadex offering a PSG/Liverpool Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5 alongside an average target price of 3.2-3.4. Elsewhere Tottenham find themselves under even more pressure than the Reds, with Spurs facing a must-win fixture against Inter Milan at 8pm on BT Sport 3. It took until the 6th November’s visit from PSV Eindhoven for the London club to pick up a win in Europe this season, suffering 2-1 and 4-2 losses against Inter and Barcelona and a 2-2 draw in the Netherlands previously. That means Wednesday night is all or nothing for Spurs. Failure to beat the Italians means they’ll crash out in the group stages, with their only hope a place in the Europe League. They will take confidence, however, from the fact they inflicted on Chelsea their first defeat of the season last weekend, a tasty 3-1 win with goals from Harry Kane (who has a Super Mega PGM of 62-72), Son Heung-Min (at 24-29) and Dele Alli (at 18-22). As for the Italians, a single point would be enough to see them through to the next round, though they’ll have a fight on their hands to get it, with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Inter Milan Goal Supremacy of 0.7-0.9 alongside a Total Goals spread of 2.95-3.15.
