Manchester City and West Ham strike out for European glory this week in the Conference League and Champions League whilst champions will be crowned on the clay in Paris. Ashes fever also ratches up another notch as we preview the big bets of the week.

FOOTBALL – WEST HAM v FIORENTINA

The East End descends on the Eastern Bloc this week as West Ham head to Prague looking to land their first European trophy since Bobby Moore captained the side in the sixties. Fiorentina will be the Hammers’ opponents tomorrow and there is nothing to split the pair in the betting with both priced at 9/10 to get their hands on Uefa’s newest trophy.

Arthur Cabral, with seven goals, is currently level with Basel’s Zeki Amdouni in the race to be the competition’s top scorer and you can back the Brazilian to score anytime at a boosted 5/2 from 21/20.

A cagey affair is expected at the Fortuna Arena with the Total Goals spread at 2.25-2.45 with the spread on the 1st Match Goal set at 38-41 minutes. Spaniard Carlos del Cerro Grande will take the whistle for the final and he has refereed Fiorentina before when they beat Braga 4-0, a match in which he doled out 55 booking points. Across the season his average Booking Points per match stands at a fraction under 51 and the Bookings spread for the final is 51-55.

CRICKET – AUSTRALIA v INDIA

Having watched England despatch Ireland over the weekend, Australia will play their warm up match ahead of the Ashes against India at the Oval. The match is also the final of the World Test Championship, and the Aussies are 19/20 to win the Test, with the draw at 4/1 and India available at 9/5.

Australia don’t always have the best record in South London, but plenty of their players have been excelling in the County Championship, with Glamorgan’s Marnus Labuschagne and Sussex’s Steve Smith 10/3 and 14/5 respectively to top score for Australia over the course of the match.

Of course, cricket is a game that lends itself well to spread betting and there are spreads available on Batsmen Runs, Bowler Performances and Total Wides across the match. With the ‘Bazball’ revolution sweeping through England and the counties, there is also a market on Total Sixes for the match which is currently 12-12.4.

TENNIS – FRENCH OPEN

The French Open quarter-finals for both the men and women get underway today with Poland’s Iga Swiatek the 1/2 favourite to claim victory on the Parisian clay. The defending champion is priced at 14.5-16.5 in the Supremacy spread for her clash with Coco Gauff tomorrow and at 1/14, she is the shortest price of any player, male or female, to make it to the last four.

On paper, the tightest semi-final is an all-Nordic affair as Norway’s Casper Ruud (beaten finalist last year) faces Danish sensation Holger Rune tomorrow. The Match Supremacy market that awards ten points to the match winner and five points for every set won by narrowly favours the Norwegian at 0-3 whilst the spread on Total Sets is 3.75-3.91.

Elsewhere in the men’s draw, Novak Djokovic is 1/12 to beat Karen Khachanov, 13/10 outright favourite Carlos Alcaraz is 2/9 to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas, whilst German Alexander Zverev is 3/10 to beat Tomas Etcheverry. A £10 treble on those shorties returns £17.21.

FOOTBALL – MANCHESTER CITY v INTER MILAN

Manchester City will look to secure their first Champions League title on Saturday when they face Inter Milan in Istanbul and Pep Guardiola’s side are 2/9 to do just that with the Italians at 10/3.

In the match odds market City are 40/85, the draw is 18/5 and an unlikely win for the Italian side in 90 minutes is priced at 11/2. With a heavy odds-on favourite, punters may want to look further afield for their bets, with over 2.5 goals available to back at 8/11, both teams to score at 10/11 and City to win and lead at half time priced up at 5/4.

In the football spread betting markets for the final, City are given a 1.15-1.35 head start on the Supremacy, Goals Cubed stands at 46-53 and the 1st Man City Goal spread is set at 41-44.
