Life after Thomas Frank is proving to still be uncharted territory for Brentford, who find themselves sitting 15th in the Premier League table with 3 points from a possible 9.
Their most recent outing saw Brentford throw away a 1-0 lead in the last 10 minutes to a newly promoted Sunderland side. However, in their only home game this season, Brentford beat Villa 1-0, giving Bees fans some confidence going into this week’s tie.
LOSS: Sunderland 2-1, 30th August 2025
WIN: Aston Villa 1-0, 23rd August 2025
LOSS: Nottingham Forest 3-1, 17th August 2025
FIFA World Club Cup champions Chelsea come into game week 4 of the 25/26 Premier League season sitting second in the table. Brazilian striker Joao Pedro has enjoyed a strong start to his Chelsea career since his £60 million move from Brighton, with four goal contributions in three games (two goals, two assists).
WIN: Fulham 2-0, 30th August 2025
WIN: West Ham 5-1, 22nd August 2025

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Chelsea as strong 8/11 favourites for their trip west on the M4. Our 2 Up early pay-out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, is priced at 4/6 for Chelsea.
Hosts Brentford come into the meeting as outsiders, priced at 7/2 (3/1 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 14/5.
The last three meetings between these two sides at the Gtech have seen the game finish in a stalemate. Chelsea’s last victory on the road to Brentford was back in 2021, whilst there will probably only be a handful of Bees fans who would have remembered their last home victory over Chelsea in 1938!
The most recent four Premier League results in this tie have seen a total of 5 goals scored, with 4 of those goals coming in the 2024 encounter. For our Bet-Builder fans, a Draw and Under 2.5 goals in the match pays at odds of 15/4

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Chelsea/Brentford (h) 0.7 - 0.9. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.9 would need Chelsea to win by at least a goal to start turning a profit (e.g., one one-goal win would win 0.10 times your stake, two-goal win 1.10 times your stake, three-goal win 2.10 times your stake, etc.).
A 0.7 'sell' bet would need either a draw or a Brentford win to turn a profit (e.g., a draw would win 0.7 your stake, a one-goal Brentford win 1.7 your stake, etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.9 – 3.1. This means a 3.1 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.9 ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 3.1 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.1 times your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.9 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended in a draw, the bet would lose 0.9 times your stake. If Brentford won by one goal, then it would lose 1.9 times your stake, etc. And in the 0.7 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.3 times your stake on a 1-0 Chelsea win, 1.3 times your stake on a 2-0 Chelsea win etc.
We also have our Player Goal Minutes markets, which will be live a few days before the game. Joao Pedro has been in fine form, which could be a potential ‘buy’ depending on the price.

Price Boosts are usually available on the Spreadex website the day before the game. We also have our featured ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, which have been put together by our pricing team.
Brentford have scored in all three of their Premier League matches this season. Our Brentford goals spread market is currently at 1.05 – 1.20, meaning if you ‘buy’ at 1.20, you need Brentford to score twice to make a profit.
