This means a 'buy' bet at 0.9 would need Chelsea to win by at least a goal to start turning a profit (e.g., one one-goal win would win 0.10 times your stake, two-goal win 1.10 times your stake, three-goal win 2.10 times your stake, etc.).

A 0.7 'sell' bet would need either a draw or a Brentford win to turn a profit (e.g., a draw would win 0.7 your stake, a one-goal Brentford win 1.7 your stake, etc.).

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.9 – 3.1. This means a 3.1 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.9 ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 3.1 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.1 times your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.9 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended in a draw, the bet would lose 0.9 times your stake.
