Mid-week Merseyside derby, Mourinho returns to Old Trafford

An unwelcome return to Old Trafford for Jose Mourinho, the first Merseyside derby of the season and a potentially productive night for Jamie Vardy all feature in our Spread Bets of the Day!

1. Man United v Tottenham – Man United/Tottenham Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1
In what could be a nice and spicy affair, Man United and Tottenham – one club which has just seen a managerial shift, the other potentially considering a similar move – meet at 7.30pm on Amazon Prime.

Of course the main story is Jose Mourinho’s return to Old Trafford. He has had a successful start to his tenure at Spurs, with 3 wins in 3. However, those games haven’t been without drama, Tottenham conceding twice in each match. United, meanwhile are stuck in 10th with a mere 4 league wins total this season.

It’s rather tough to pick a winner on Wednesday night – hence why Spreadex are offering a choice Man United/Tottenham Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1.

2. Liverpool v Everton – Bookings, 48-52
There couldn’t be a starker contrast between the red and blue halves of Merseyside at the moment. Liverpool are yet to lose a league game, sitting atop the table with an 8 point buffer. Everton are only 2 points above the relegation zone, with Marco Silva likely already flicking through the jobs pages in the paper.

Though both sides have been pretty well behaved of late – even when factoring in Allison’s red card against Brighton – the rules are different for derbies. Spreadex are offering a Bookings spread of 48-52.

3. Leicester v Watford – Jamie Vardy SMM, 76-88
Not only is he the Premier League’s top scorer with 13 goals in 14 games, Jamie Vardy is coming up against one of its worst defences – only Southampton and Norwich have conceded more than Watford’s 28 goals.

It is understandable, then, that the 32-year old sits at a rather large SMM spread of 76-88 ahead of Wednesday’s visit from the sting-free Hornets.
