Spread Bets Of The Day
A pressure-filled Manchester derby, a Saudi rematch for Joshua and Ruiz, and Thursday’s General Election all feature in our Spread Bets of the Weekend! 1. Man City v Man United – Bookings, 50-54Though they find themselves in very different situations, neither City nor United will be particularly happy with where they are at the moment. The blue half of Manchester are 11 points adrift of Liverpool, their chances of defending their title shrinking; the red half, meanwhile, are sat outside the top 6, suffering their worst Premier League start for 31 years. So there are pressures going into Saturday evening that go beyond the usual derby rivalries. That means, even though City and United are averaging a relatively measured 18 and 22 booking points across their last 5 games respectively, things could get spicy. Spreadex are offering a Bookings spread of 50-54. 2. Anthony Joshua v Andy Ruiz Jr – Fight Minutes, 21.75-23.25Back in June Andy Ruiz Jr shocked Anthony Joshua, and the world, by beating the unified world heavyweight champion with a TKO in the 7th round. No one had given the Destroyer a chance – after all, he was a last minute replacement for Jarrell Miller. This time, however, Ruiz is more of a known quantity. Another victory would be surprising, but nowhere near as stunning as the result was at Madison Square Garden. But when will a win come? Spreadex are offering a Fight Minutes spread of 21.75-23.25 ahead of the rematch in Saudi Arabia. 3. 2019 General Election – Conservative Seats, 344-352On Thursday Britain goes to the polls for the 3rd general election in 4 years. Though their lead has definitely shrunk, the Tories have been maintaining a 9 to 12 point buffer between them and Labour. A majority for Boris Johnson and co. is likely. But exactly how many seats will they win? Spreadex are offering a Conservative Seats spread of 344-352. For context, Labour are at 213-221 and the Lib Dems are at 19-23. 4. Aston Villa v Leicester – Leicester Clean Sheet, 26.6-33.4In a stunning run of form, Leicester are chasing their 8th consecutive Premier League win when they travel to Aston Villa on Sunday. Their hosts, on the other hand, could easily find themselves in the relegation zone if things don’t go their way. During that run the Foxes have managed 5 clean sheets. In fact, they haven’t conceded on the road since they lost to Liverpool at the start of October. With that in mind Spreadex are offering a Leicester Clean Sheet spread of 26.6-33.4. 5. Brighton v Wolves – Brighton/Wolves Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1After a string of tough fixtures – they lost to Man United, Leicester and Liverpool – Brighton bounced back with a 2-1 win at Arsenal mid-week. Wolves, meanwhile, beat West Ham 2-0, taking their Premier League unbeaten streak to 10 games. Both teams, then, have a lot of upside, making it difficult to call ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Falmer Stadium. Hence why Spreadex are offering a choice Brighton/Wolves Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
