Spread Bets Of The Day
Are Tottenham the team to end Liverpool’s unbeaten streak? And can Watford’s rebound continue? It’s the Spread bets of the Day! 1. Tottenham v Liverpool – 1st Match Goal, 31-34Spurs lost their Mourinho bounce pretty quickly. Since the Special One took over, he has overseen 6 wins, 4 losses and 2 draws. Worryingly, in that period, Tottenham are without a win against of the ‘bigger’ sides they’ve faced, losing to Man United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Even worse, they’ve started to slip up against weaker teams, their last 3 results being a draw against Norwich, a loss to Southampton and a stalemate in Middlesbrough. All that, then, explains why Liverpool – unbeaten and on an 11-game winning streak in the league – are quite so fancied ahead of Saturday evening. One of the few positives for Spurs is that they did manage to score against the Reds after just a minute back in October. Will they be so speedy this time out? Spreadex are offering a 1st Match Goal of 31-34. 2. Sheffield United v West Ham – Sebastian Haller SMM, 20-24Sat in 16th, West Ham need to nurture the spark that has returned under David Moyes if they are to avoid being dragged further into a relegation battle – after all, their game in hand is against Liverpool. Friday night sees Moyes’ greatest test yet, a visit to an overachieving Sheffield United. He could do with someone like Sebastien Haller, who scored in the manager’s return to the club, becoming a consistent presence going forwards. The Frenchman sits at a SMM spread of 20-24. 3. Bournemouth v Watford – Bournemouth/Watford Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1It took a couple of games, but Nigel Pearson has really turned things around at Watford. They’ve got 3 wins in their last 4 league games, including against Man United and Wolves, alongside a draw at Sheffield United. With the extra benefit of 17th place Villa hosting Man City, the Hornets could now escape the relegation zone for the first time this season by beating 18th place Bournemouth on Sunday. The Cherries have one league win in 10 games, meaning Spreadex’s traders might be a bit generous by offering a choice Bournemouth/Watford Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1. 4. Crystal Palace v Arsenal – Bookings, 36-40At present, Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Man United seems more like an anomaly than the new norm. Under Mikel Arteta the Gunners still haven’t quite got their groove back, requiring a stern talking to at half time against Leeds in order to get a result. They’ve also been pretty ill-tempered this season, leading the league with 52 yellow cards. Will their nasty side come out on Saturday? Spreadex are offering a Bookings spread of 36-40.5. Aston Villa v Man City – Total Goals, 3.95-4.15They may be 14 points off Liverpool – and that’s not factoring the Reds’ game in hand – but City are still unchallenged in terms of goal-scoring, finding the back of the net 56 times in 21 league games.Only Norwich, meanwhile, have conceded more than Aston Villa’s 37 goals. The question is, will those stats cause there to be at least 5 goals on Sunday, the number needed to make any money off buying a Total Goals spread of 3.95-4.15?Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
