Spread Bets Of The Day
The 1st T20 between England and South Africa, a chance for Fulham to go 2nd in the Championship, and a trip to Reading for West Brom all make our Spread Bets of the Day. 1. South Africa v England 1st T20 – England/South Africa Supremacy, 13-21It’s been quite the tour of South Africa. A wake-up call defeat in the 1st Test led to a hat-trick of thumping victories for England. Not learning their lesson, the ODI series began with a Quinton de Kock-led 7 wicket hammering for the visitors. Rain ruined the 2nd fixture, before England drew things level in the 3rd and final ODI, Joe Denly helping lead them to a 2 wicket win. So, who will take the honours in the tour-closing, 3-game T20 series? Last time England played in the format, during their trip to New Zealand, they narrowly won 3-2 thanks to another Super Over tie-breaker against the Black Caps. As for Proteus, last September their 3-game series against India ended in a 1-1 draw. The 1st T20 was rained off, before South Africa got 9 wicket revenge in the 3rd for their 7 wicket defeat in the 2nd. In terms of Wednesday’s trip to Buffalo Park – starting at 4pm on Sky Sports Cricket – the visitors are fancied at an England/South Africa Supremacy spread of 13-21. That’s where it’s 1 point per run won by, and 10 points per wicket. 2. Millwall v Fulham – Aleksandar Mitrovic SMM, 35-41With the teams around them regularly blowing it, Fulham have the chance to go 2nd for the first time this season if they beat Millwall, at 7.45pm on sky Sport Main Event. In the Championship the Cottagers have 6 wins in their last 9 games, their solitary loss coming on New Year’s Day against Reading. For comparison, Millwall have entered a bit of a damp patch, losing 2 of their last 3 games. Fulham also have Aleksandar Mitrotric at their disposable. The fiery Serbian striker is the league’s joint top scorer on 20 goals, and can overtake Ollie Watkins – who failed to make his mark against Leeds last night – if he finds the back of the net on Wednesday. He travels to the Den with a SMM spread of 35-41. 3. Reading v West Brom – West Brom 2-0, 14-17Thanks to Leeds’ own ineptitude, West Brom managed to ride out a 7-game winless streak between 21st December and 29th January without losing any ground in the race for 1st place. And with the Whites still flailing, back-to-back 2-0 victories over Luton and Millwall have seen the Baggies return to the top. Even if Fulham do beat the Lions on Wednesday, a win for West Brom at Reading would allow them to maintain a 4 point lead. Can they do it with the same efficiency since in their other February fixtures? Spreadex are offering a West Brom 2-0 Correct Score Markets spread of 14-17, where 25 points are awarded for the correct outcome and a further 50 points for the exact scoreline.
