Spread Bets Of The Day
A daunting visit from Man City for Arsenal, a top vs bottom clash between Liverpool and Watford and the start of the PDC World Darts Championship all make our Spread Bets of the Weekend! 1. Arsenal v Man City – Total Goals, 3.65-3.85Freddie Ljungberg has now managed Arsenal for 5 games, gifted a rather kind set of fixtures that has seen the Gunners face Norwich, Brighton and West Ham in the league, and Eintracht Frankfurt and Standard Liege in Europe. From that eminently manageable set of fixtures, the club legend has overseen one solitary victory. And even that required Arsenal to come back from behind. One dreads to think how they will perform against Man City, especially when you consider the fact they have kept just 5 clean sheets in 24 games in all competitions. In the league Arsenal have conceded 24; City have banged in 44. Hence Spreadex offering a Total Goals spread of 3.65-3.85. 2. Man United/Everton – Man United/Everton Goal Supremacy, 0.65-0.85United are in a nice little run of form. Wins over Tottenham and City were followed on Thursday night with a comfortable 4-0 victory against AZ Alkmaar. However, Everton will still be riding high after their 3-1 win over Chelsea, buoyed by Duncan Ferguson taking over as interim manager. The hosts are, understandably, favourites at a Man United/Everton Goal Supremacy spread of 0.65-0.85. Yet any whiff of Europa League fatigue could be pounced upon by the seemingly revitalised Toffees. 3. Liverpool v Watford – Mohamed Salah SMM, 85-100The weekend kicks off with a top vs bottom battle between Liverpool and Watford. The Reds are still yet to lose a game in the league; the Hornets have won just once. The visitors, then, should rightly be worried about their trip to Anfield. Just take a look at Mohamed Salah’s massive SMM spread of 85-100. However, buying at such a high price would require the forward to at least score twice to make any money, something he hasn’t done since October 2nd against Red Bull Salzburg (in the league his last brace was all the way back at the end of August). 4. Southampton v West Ham – Southampton to win match, 48.7-52.4The Saints could leap out of the relegation zone, and drag West Ham further into the bottom of the table battle, with a win on Saturday. Though they are below the Hammers, Southampton have won their last 2 home games 2-1, and in Danny Ings have something their visitors don’t have – a (very) consistent forward. The hosts sit at a binary Southampton to win match spread of 48.7-52.4, compared to West Ham’s 23.8-26.4. 5. 2020 PDC World Darts Championship – Michael van Gerwen Outright Index, 35.5-38.5 Friday sees the start of the 2020 PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. Sat atop the Order of Merit, defending champion Michael van Gerwen heads into the competition as the clear favourite. At an Outright Index spread of 35.5-38.5 – where the winner gets 60 points, the runner-up 40 etc – his closest rival is Gerwyn Price at 18-21, followed by Peter Wright at 13.5-16.5. Interestingly world no. 2 Rob Cross is only at 8.5-11.5. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
