Spread Bets Of The Day
Will Jamie Vardy break his goalless streak on Valentine’s Day? Can Norwich secure the scalp of all scalps against Liverpool this Saturday? And will England beat South Africa in the 2nd T20? It’s the Spread Bets of the Weekend! 1. Wolves v Leicester – Jamie Vardy SMM, 29-35As much a sign of issues elsewhere, Jamie Vardy remains the Premier League’s top scorer with 17 goals despite not yet finding the back of the net in 2020. In fact, due to injury and a sharp drop in form, Vardy’s last goal came on December 21st, in Leicester’s 3-1 loss at City. Can Cupid’s arrow cause the forward to fall back in love with scoring on Valentine’s Day? The Foxes travel to Wolves at 8pm on Sky Sports Football, with Vardy at a SMM spread of 29-35. 2. Norwich v Liverpool – Total Goals, 3.15-3.35There’s something romantic about the idea of 20th place Norwich being the ones to end Liverpool’s 42-game unbeaten streak. Especially since their 2019/20 began with the Reds thumping them 4-1 at Anfield. It’s a big ask of a side that’s only picked up 4 wins in the league this season. That 3 of those victories came at home is a small boost; ditto that one came against Man City. Still, more likely than not the Canaries are about to get cooked once again, with Spreadex offering a Total Goals spread of 3.15-3.35. 3. Aston Villa v Tottenham – Tottenham/Aston Villa (h) Goal Supremacy, 0.5-0.7It seems that Tottenham are just about out the other side of their terrible transition from 2019 to 2020. They’ve clocked back-to-back wins in the league, most recently beating City 2-0, before knocking out Southampton in their FA Cup replay. The next step would be to pick up their first victory away from home since December 15th. They’re been alarmingly insipid on the road, drawing against the likes of Norwich, Watford, Middlesbrough and Southampton, as well as losing at St Mary’s on New year’s Day. Spurs should be able to break that streak on Sunday – at 2pm on Sky Sports Premier League – with Spreadex offering a Tottenham/Aston Villa (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.5-0.7. 4. Arsenal v Newcastle – Match to be drawn, 18.1-22.3Stuck in 10th, no side has drawn more league games than Arsenal. Over half of their fixtures have ended in stalemate, included their last 4 games in a row. That they only narrowly beat Newcastle 1-0 on the opening weekend of the season isn’t much comfort either. Yet they’re still clear favourites heading into Sunday, at an Arsenal/Newcastle Goal Supremacy spread of 1.25-1.45. In comparison, the Match to be drawn binary is only 18.1-22.3. 5. South Africa v England 2nd T20 – Jason Run Player Performance, 33-37Jason Roy was the major positive coming away from England’s 1 run defeat in the 1st T20, his 70 runs the reason it looked like the visitors were going to stroll to victory. Will he put in a repeat performance in Durban on Friday? He sits at a Player Performance spread of 33-37, where its 1 point per run, 10 points per catch, 20 points per wicket and 25 points per stumping. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
