Spread Bets Of The Day
A psychologically intriguing match-up between Man City and West Ham, an attacking test for Tottenham, and a Champions League visit from Valencia for Atalanta all make our Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Man City v West Ham – Man City/West Ham Goal Supremacy, 2.55-2.75Rescheduled due to Storm Ciara, West Ham’s trip to Manchester – at 7.30pm on Sky Sports Premier League – now has the added quirk of being City’s first game since their Champions League ban was announced. The defending champions’ Premier League season, then, might as well be over already. It would take a miracle for them to catch Liverpool; and a top 4 finish is nothing if you can’t compete in Europe. Focus will likely now turn to next week’s trip to Real Madrid, as Pep Guardiola chases the one title that has eluded him in his tenure at the Etihad. If that is the case, then it couldn’t come at a better time for the Hammers. They can drag themselves out of the relegation zone, however temporarily, with a win on Wednesday. Better yet, it could be the kind of victory that sparks a shift in momentum for the London club. And it’s not like City were even in the best shape before the suspension ruling, losing their last league game 2-0 to Spurs. On the other hand, they did beat West Ham – then managed by Manuel Pellegrini – 5-0 on the first weekend of the season. That explains why Spreadex are offering a Man City/West Ham Goal Supremacy spread of 2.55-2.75 – buy at that price and you’d need the hosts to win by at least 3 goals to make any money. 2. Tottenham v RB Leipzig – Lucas Moura SMM, 21-25Son Heung-min did a great job stepping up in the absence of Harry Kane, including a vital brace against Aston Villa at the weekend. Well, now the Korean forward may also be out for the rest of the season, having secured all 3 points for Spurs with a fractured arm. Between them Kane and Son have 33 goals – exactly half of the total scored by Tottenham this season. Jose Mourinho is going to have to find firepower from somewhere, with Dele Alli and Lucas Moura the best options. The English 23-year old has 8 goals in all competitions and sits at a SMM spread of 28-34, while his Brazilian teammate is on 7 goals with a SMM spread of 21-25. 3. Atalanta v Valencia – Bookings, 52-56Atalanta are lucky to be in the last-16. They lost their first 3 Champions League group games in a row, conceding 11 goals while doing so, only to scrape through with 7 points from the final hat-trick of fixtures. Valencia did a better job in an overall tougher group, narrowly finishing in 1st ahead of Chelsea and Ajax. Both sides have been liberally picking up cards this season, including an average 28.3 Booking points per Champions League game for the Italians, and 30 per game for the Spaniards. Will they be similarly dirty on Wednesday? Spreadex are offering a high Bookings spread of 52-56. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change
