England and New Zealand meet in 1st Test

Opening Tests for England in New Zealand and Pakistan in Australia are joined by an FA Cup replay between Darlington and Walsall – it’s our Spread Bets of the Day!

1. New Zealand v England 1st Test – Mitchell Santner Bowler Performance, 33-38
Though, like at the 2019 World Cup, it required a Super Over, England eventually won their 5-game T20I series in New Zealand 3-2. Now they are hoping to do the same in their tour-closing pair of Tests, perhaps even getting revenge for last year’s 1st Test drubbing in Auckland.

While the visitors won the T20I quintet, the player of the series was Mitchell Santner, who claimed 11 wickets in total. He heads into the 1st Test at a Bowler Performance spread of 33-38, where 10 points are awarded per wicket, with a 25 point bonus for a 5 wicket innings.

2. Australia v Pakistan 1st Test – 1st Innings Supremacy (Aus/Pak), 100-120
Pakistan did not fare well during their T20I series in Australia – rained off in the 1st game, they lost the 2nd by 7 wickets and the 3rd by 10.

The Aussies, then, will be looking to dominant the 1st Test. So much so, in fact, that Spreadex are offering an Australia/Pakistan 1st Innings Supremacy price of 100-120.

3. Darlington v Walsall – Total Goal Minutes, 148-158
Finally entering the 1st round proper after starting their journey in the 2nd round of qualifying, Darlington travelled to League Two’s Walsall. Leading from the 17th minute, they suddenly let in 2 goals in the final few moments of normal time, their hopes of claiming an early scalp fading. That is until Joe Wheatley got an equaliser deep into injury time, setting up Wednesday’s replay.
