Spread Bets Of The Day
Can Liverpool keep an 8th consecutive league clean sheet? Will England blow away South Africa in the 4th Test? And can Naomi Osaka go all the way in Oz? It’s the Spread Bets of the Day! 1. Wolves v Liverpool – Liverpool Win to Nil, 28.5-36.4Given that the title race feels all but over, one of the remaining achievements available – beyond a spot in Europe – is the chance to say that you were the side to end Liverpool’s perfect season. It’s a tall ask. The last time the Reds conceded in the Premier League was December 4th. That means they’ve kept 7 clean sheets in a row, their goal unbreached by the likes of Leicester, Tottenham and Man United. Jurgen Klopp’s men actually played Wolves during that period, narrowly beating their then-visitors 1-0 thanks to a Sadio Mane strike just before the break. Since then Wolves have been a bit all over the place: losing to Watford, drawing against Newcastle before coming back from 2-0 down at Southampton to win 3-2. Beating the Reds, then, might be out of reach. But can they at least score? Spreadex are offering a Liverpool Win to Nil binary spread of 28.5-36.4. 2. South Africa v England 4th Test – 1st Innings Supremacy (Eng/SA), 30-50It seemed England needed their horror show start to their Test series in South Africa. Since losing in Centurion by 107 runs, they won the 2nd by 189 runs and the 3rd by a whopping innings and 53 runs. A draw is enough for England to take the series; however another big victory would be the perfect end to this part of the tour. Spreadex are offering a 1st Innings Supremacy (Eng/SA) spread of 30-50. For comparison, in the 1st Test Proteas saw a Supremacy of 104, in the 2nd England by 46, and in the 3rd Joe Root and co. had a resounding lead of 290. 3. Naomi Osaka v Coco Gauff – Osaka Outright Index, 13.5-16.5Teen sensation Coco Gauff – who’s already seen off Venus Williams (again) before beating Sorana Cirstea in the 2nd round – takes on defending Aussie Open champ Naomi Osaka on Friday morning. The Japanese 22-year old is the clear favourite, at a Match Supremacy spread of 9.5-12.5. Is this, then, a good time to buy Osaka at an Outright Index spread of 13.5-16.5? Though, at 7/1, she is the 2nd favourite in terms of fixed odds, she sits behind Karolina Pliskova, Ashleigh Barty and Serena Williams on the Outright Index, due to being in the same quarter as the latter. But last time she met Williams, in the 2019 Canadian Masters, she won 6-3 6-4. Disclaimer: quoted prices are subject to change.
