What’s the pick of the African Cup of Nations quarter-finals?
Egypt’s game with Morocco looks the best game of the four AFCON quarter-finals this weekend. Mo Salah’s Pharaohs have already knocked out the Ivory Coast on penalties and they’ve another tough draw here, facing a Morocco side containing the likes of PSG star Achraf Hakimi and Wolves defender Romain Saiss. Saturday sees Gambia play Cameroon in the afternoon before Burkina Faso play Tunisia. Sunday afternoon sees the Egypt v Morocco game before Senegal take on Equatorial Guinea for the last semi-final place later that evening.
Egypt v Morocco Total Goal Minutes (set at 85-93)
There have only been two goals in the four Egypt games at AFCON so far, with a 1-0 opening defeat to Nigeria followed by two 1-0 wins to qualify from the group, then a goalless draw with the Ivory Coast last time out. It’s little wonder therefore that the Total Goal Minutes for this match has been set so low. However, we’ve seen some buying at 93, with punters expecting the Pharaohs to get their attacking play together. With arguably the best player in the world in Mo Salah leading the line, it would be a surprise if he doesn’t add to his one goal so far before this tournament is over.
Who has won the most Grand Slam tennis tournaments?
Rafa Nadal is currently in a three-way tie with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic, with all three legends having won 20 Grand Slam tournaments. Djokovic was undoubtedly favourite to be the first to 21, but a combination of his vaccination status and subsequent refusal of entry to Australia, and Nadal rolling back the years to play some of the best tennis of his life, means it’s the 35-year-old Spaniard who has the chance to make history. Standing in his way though is Daniil Medvedev, the number 2 seed and winner of the last Grand Slam event, the US Open. The Russian is a character the fans love to hate, so there should be some atmosphere as fan favourite Nadal goes for his first title here since 2009.
Total Games (set at 40.5-42.5)
Medvedev won the last time these two played, at the ATP Tour Finals in 2020, though Nadal had won the three previous match-ups. In each of the last three clashes, the match has gone the maximum number of sets, including a five setter at the 2019 US Open, their only Grand Slam meeting. With that it mind, there has been quite a bit of buying of various markets, including Total Games. In that one five set meeting between these two for example, there were 53 games.
Who is playing in the 2022 Super Bowl?
We’ll find out who is heading to LA for Super Bowl LVI this weekend as the Kansas City Chiefs face the Cincinnati Bengals and the LA Rams take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs are hot favourites to make it through, with superstar Patrick Mahomes at the hub of everything they do, while in NFC Championship game, the Rams have the chance to become only the second team ever – and the second in two years after Tampa Bay last year – to play a Super Bowl in front of their home fans.
Ja’Marr Chase (Cincinnati) Super Mega Minutes (set at 23-28)
If Cincinnati are to upset the odds against Kansas City then they will be relying on receiver Ja’Marr Chase putting in a similar performance to his eye-catching display when these two teams met in December. Chase scored three touchdowns, had 11 catches and 266 receiving yards, and a similar performance tonight could see the Bengals upset the odds and heading to the Super Bowl.
