'The Special One' Jose Mourinho is at his unveiling press conference at new club AS Roma, but something seems to be bothering him - What Happens Next?
COMING HOME OR GOING TO ROME?
Italy v England, 8pm BBC 1
After a month of exciting, dramatic and high-quality football, just two sides remain in the fight to prove themselves as the best international side in Europe. England, who many predicted as favourites pre-tournament (although this was only really a bookie consensus within England), have not disappointed their fans in the way previous sides have, and have reached a stage that the Three Lions have never reached before - a European Championship final.
In fact, this is the first major tournament final that England have reached since their glorious winning campaign in the 1966 World Cup, which was held at home. The Three Lions have had (almost) another home tournament campaign here, with just one of their matches being played away from Wembley Stadium - the quarter-final victory over Ukraine.
The Italians themselves have not won this particular trophy since 1968, but will be confident of adding another footballing heavyweight to their list of victims in this tournament, after eliminating Belgium and Spain in the two previous rounds. The Three Lions have also not beaten the Azzurri in competitive action since 1977!
The previous five H2Hs have consisted of three friendlies (2 won by Italy, 1 by England), and two major tournament meetings - a 2-1 group stage victory for the Italians in the 2014 World Cup, and THAT penalty shootout at EURO 2012 which featured Andrea Pirlo's famous Panenka effort. In terms of the odds on this going to extra time (or penalties) again, both sides are at 7/1 on the fixed odds to win via spot-kicks, while Italy are 9/1 to win in Extra Time, with England at 17/2.
Seven matches have gone to extra-time in this tournament, so an eighth can certainly not be discounted with how tightly-contested this final is likely to be. It should also be noted that Italy have gone to extra-time at European Championships more than any other team - 9 times. They have also scored 12 goals in the tournament so far, but have never scored more than 12 in any previous tournament. Does the history suggest English success beckons?
In terms of the main match odds, Spreadex have England/Italy Supremacy at a very tight 0-0.2, with Total Goals at 2-2.2, and Total Goal Minutes at 103-113. On the fixed odds, Italy are 2/1 to win and lift the trophy within 90 mins, and Evens to win outright. England are slight favourites at 13/8 to win in 90 mins, and at 4/5 to lift the trophy outright. The Draw (and extra time) is available at 2/1.
In terms of goalscorer markets, Spreadex have an industry-best price of 5/1 for Harry Kane to continue his scoring form and be First Goalscorer. Remember - Kane only requires one more goal to overtake Garry Lineker as the leading England goalscorer in major tournaments (currently tied at 10 each). And - our First Goalscorer Insurance is still active, so if Kane doesn't score first but does score last, you can get your stake refunded as a free bet (Up to £25)!
We also have a full range of special themed markets for the final. These include Kalzone, Pound Sterling, Moreginho, Full English and much more! Click here to see the full range of markets and further details of what each one entails.
So, it now remains a question of time until the big kick-off on Sunday night. Will it 'Come Home', or will the trophy 'Go to Rome'? All will be revealed at Wembley.
