Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Another rough result for Tottenham, a hard fought win for Man City, and a concerning comeback for Real Madrid all make the Daily Spread Betting Roundup. But how much could you have won? German demolition in London – Tottenham vs Bayern MunichYou wouldn’t know it from the score line, but for a while there Spurs were actually on the same level as Bayern. In fact, they took the lead very early on courtesy of a 12th minute goal form Son Heung-min. And though by half time they were trailing 2-1, they were still very much in the fixture. Boy oh boy was that to change. The hosts collapsed in the 2nd half, undone by former Gunner Serge Gnabry. Within 10 minutes of the restart the 24-year old had scored twice, putting Bayern up 4-1. A penalty at the hour mark from Harry Kane threw Tottenham a lifeline, only for them to lose their heads in the final stretch, allowing Robert Lewandowski a 2nd and Gnabry his 3rd and 4th. As you can imagine, there was plenty of money to be made from such an absurd result. On a basic level, if you’d bought a Bayern Munich/Tottenham (h) Goal Supremacy spread of 0.3-0.5, you could have won 4.5 times your initial stake. A relatively conservative opening Total Goal Minutes spread of 162-177 paled in comparison to a make-up of 499. Ditto an original Goals Cubed spread of 68-79 looks plain silly next to the eventual make-up of 729. Man of the match Gnabry started the evening at a SMM spread of 24-29. He ended the evening with a make-up of 500. That’s potentially 471 times your initial bet. Perhaps best of all, the Goals x Shirts make-up rocketed to 1395 – in large part thanks to Gnabry wearing the no. 22 on his back. Take off an opening spread of 197-224, and that’s 1171 times your original stake. City get past stubborn visitors – Man City vs Dinamo ZagrebMan City were meant to batter Dinamo Zagreb. However the Croatians weren’t going down without a fight, keeping the hosts at bay for over an hour before Raheem Sterling broke through. It wasn’t until deep into injury time that Phil Foden gave them a 2nd. If you predicted that the usually free-scoring City might not have it all their own way, and sold a Total Goals spread of 3.8-4, you could have won 1.8 times your initial stake. Real come from behind – Real Madrid vs Club BruggeClub Brugge will be gutted about how Tuesday’s trip to the Bernabeu panned out. Shockingly they went into the break 2-0 up courtesy of an odd brace from Emmanuel Dennis. Sergio Ramos brought Real Madrid back into it not too long after the break; however, it was a 2nd yellow for Brugge captain Ruud Vormer that was the turning point, with the resulting free-kick setting up Casemiro’s headed equaliser. Still, it wasn’t a great result for the hosts, and was enough of a surprise that any backing a 2-2 draw could have won 92.3 times their initial stake from an opening binary spread of 2.9-7.7.
