Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Arsenal rescue point at Chelsea, Lejeune saves Newcastle and Aguero scores (again) – it’s the Daily Spread Betting Roundup! Gunners secure 12th draw of the season – Chelsea v ArsenalTuesday’s London derby had a bit of everything. While not quite as niggly as December’s fixture, it took only 26 minutes for David Luiz to get sent off. Add in a few more yellows sprinkled across the game and Multi Bookings made-up to 700 against a starting spread of 515-615. That’s 85 times your initial stake. Luiz’s red card le to a converted spot-kick from Jorginho a couple of minutes later, meaning buying a Penalty Goal Minutes spread of 11-14 gave you 14 times your starting bet. The visitors got an equaliser just after the hour mark courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli, only for Cesar Azpilicueta to restore Chelsea’s lead with 6 minutes to go. Captain Hector Bellerin had other ideas, however, responding almost immediately to snatch a point for Arsenal – their 12th draw in the league this season. All that late action pushed the Total Goal Minutes to 282; take off an opening spread of 139-149 and you get 133 times your original wager. Late Lejeune saves Magpies – Everton v NewcastleIt looked like Newcastle were quickly going to undo the momentum gained with their 1-0 win over Chelsea by following it up with a 2-0 loss at Everton. And then centre back Florian Lejeune scored not once, but twice in injury time, helping the Magpies secure a 7 point buffer between them and the relegation zone. The fact Lejeune emerged as the side’s saviour was so unlikely that he came off the bench at a SMM spread of just 0.25-1.5. If you were mad enough to buy that, a make-up of 270 would have won you 268.5 times your initial stake. Aguero the difference-maker – Sheffield United v Man CityIn the battle between strongest attack and 2nd best defence, the former only narrowly came out on top, Sergio Aguero helping City steal all 3 points from Sheffield United. Coming off the bench, the Argentina ace scored his 6th goal in 3 games in the 73rd minute, giving anyone who bought his substitute PGM spread of 19-22 a respectable 51 times their opening bet. You’d have had to sell a Total Goals spread of 2.75-2.95, however, to make 1.75 times your initial stake.
