Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Big Weekend Winners

As storms descended on Britain it was another wild weekend, but if anything, the sporting drama was even wilder with plenty of thrills and spills. Tottenham’s victory away at Manchester City blew the title race wide open, Kell Brook finally got the win he had been dreaming of as he stopped Amir Khan at the AO Arena and a great day of racing on Saturday offered up plenty of hints as we approach the Cheltenham Festival.

The action doesn’t stop there though and ahead of more great sport coming our way, we review the weekend’s big winning markets. Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, losses can exceed deposits when spread betting.

LAHORE QALANDERS 5X6 MULTI-OVERS (SETTLED AT 220)

The Pakistan Super League has been enthralling fans on Sky Sports recently and with a squad jam-packed with home grown internationals like Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Hafeez they are currently second in the table. On Saturday they played Islamabad United and the Multi Over market was where things got interesting.
The spread for the fifth and sixth over Lahore run totals multiplied together was set at 62-69 and it was blown completely out of the water. First Yorkshire’s Harry Brook and Zaman carted Mohammad Wasim for 20 runs in the fifth over before Faheem Ashraf went for 11 off the same pair in the next over. Buyers in the Lahore Qalanders 5x6 Multi-Over market had smashed their way to a win that was 151x their initial stake.

WINCANTON 13:38 – GRIVETANA BINARY MARKET (SETTLED AT 0)

Saturday was generally a great day for punters as short-priced favourites like Hillcrest, Melon, Adrimel, and Goshen helped land some punchy multiples. However, one result that went the way of the bookies was in the opener at Wincanton where odds-on favourite Grivetana was turned over in the first, with Farmers Gamble given a strong ride by David England to claim the spoils.
Grivetana didn’t find much under Bryony Frost and came home in fourth which meant the binary market settled at 0 (100 points if your horse wins, 0 for any other result). With the pre-race spread at 50-57.9 sellers trotted off with a win equal to 50x
their stake.

LEEDS v MANCHESTER UNITED SHIRTS x BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 9450)

The three meetings between these sides in the Premier League since Leeds were promoted have been all or nothing with 5-1 and 6-2 wins for Manchester United coming either side of a 0-0 draw at Elland Road. Thankfully for neutrals and backers of the Shirts x Bookings market, this one was another thriller.

The Shirts x Bookings market, which was set at 2150-2400 before the match, is formed of the aggregate shirt numbers of the goal scorers multiplied by the booking points in the match (10 points for a yellow, 25 for a red).
With every goalscorer apart from Harry Maguire wearing a double-digit shirt number this was always shaping up to be a fine day for buyers but the icing on top of the cake was the nine second half bookings and Anthony Elanga (shirt number 36) scoring the sixth goal of the game.
Those who had the foresight to buy were walking away with 7450x their stake!
