Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Big winning bets from Monday's football and NFL

What happened in the NFL Monday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants?

Tom Brady – who else – was the star of the show as Tampa Bay beat the Giants 30-10 in Monday Night Football. The Super Bowl champions had lost two straight, but veteran quarterback Brady threw for 307 yards and 2 touchdowns as they got back to winning ways. Brady’s partner in crime, Rob Gronkowski, was back after six games out injured, and he caught 6 passes for 71 yards as the Buccs improved to 7-3. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones threw for just 167 yards, was intercepted twice and sacked twice on a bad night at the office for New York.

New York Giants Multi-Points (settled at 0)

A combination of an off night for visiting QB Jones and some stellar Tampa defence held the Giants scoreless in the second half, the perfect result for sellers in the New York Multi-Points market, which is made up of New York’s first half points multiplied by their second half points. The Giants scored 10 in the first half and 0 in the second, giving a result of 0. The spread had been set at 94-114, so sellers made the maximum 94 times their bet.

What happened in La Liga last night?

Rayo Vallecano are 6th in La Liga, one spot above Barcelona, after last night’s 3-1 win over Mallorca. Madrid’s third-biggest team are one of the feel good stories of this season, and they bounced back nicely from their defeat to their more illustrious neighbours Real before the international break with a routine victory thanks to goals from Sergi Guardiola, Alvaro Garcia and Oscar Trejo. Abdon got an 89th minute consolation for Mallorca.

Total Goal Minutes x Corners (settled at 1880)

When it’s quiet domestically, there is always more interest in La Liga and Serie A games, and last night’s La Liga game attracted plenty of action. Whether through research or hope that it’s a good game, the buyers were out in force, and one market that proved lucrative was the Total Goal Minutes x Corners spread, which was set at 970-1070. Mallorca’s late consolation made no difference to the game, but it did to this market, giving total goal minutes of 188. There were 10 corners, giving a make-up of 1880, and making a profit of 810 times their stake for buyers.

Was there action in Serie A too?

Verona move into the top 10 in Serie A thanks to an injury time winner which gave them a 2-1 win against Empoli. Adrien Tameze grabbed the crucial late goal to send the hosts up to 9th, just three points behind 5th placed Roma. After a goalless first half, Antonin Barak opened the scoring in the 49th minute, only for Empoli, who started the night on the same points as Verona, to hit back through Simone Romagnoli. Verona, who are now unbeaten in 5 games and have lost only 1 in 10, travel to Sampdoria on Saturday.

Total Goal Minutes (settled at 207)

There have been plenty of goals in Verona games, with both teams scoring in 9 of their last 10 games. They have only failed to score themselves once all season, at Bologna in the middle of September, so the buyers were out in force at Total Goal Minutes. It looked like they’d be losers until that 90th minute winner that meant those buying the pre-match spread of 142-152 won 55 times their bet.
