Daily Spread Betting Round-up
We are midway through another week of sport and the highlights have again come from the football, tennis and cricket action over the last couple of days.
With England winning the final Ashes Test to secure a 2-2 draw in the series, more impressive football from the Lionesses’ Women’s World Cup exploits and plenty of top-level tennis action, here are three of the biggest winning spread bets from Monday and Tuesday.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
CHINA (W) V ENGLAND (W) – ENGLAND TGMs (SETTLED AT 297)
In the Women’s World Cup, the Lionesses finally arrived with a roar as they followed up two opening 1-0 victories in the group stage with a 6-1 mauling of China, with a masterclass performance from Lauren James, who is announcing herself on the biggest stage as a true superstar in the women’s game.
Alessia Russo got the ball rolling early on for England with James providing the killer assist, and that seemed to settle any nerves or tightness. With another James assist and a goal of her own, the Lionesses went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead. Three more goals in the second half from James, Chloe Kelly and Rachel Daly meant England progressed to the knockout stages in near-perfect fashion.
For punters looking for a spread betting market focussing on England dominance, buying on the TGM spread at a relatively low 108 – 118 saw them win a return of 179x their initial stake after a make-up of 297.
ENG V AUS 5TH ASHES TEST – LAUNCH! (SETTLED AT 1729)
Although it was ultimately a disappointing end to the Ashes series with Australia retaining the urn regardless of what happened in the final Test, England still managed to win some bragging rights by stopping the visitors from winning the series outright on English soil, with a win securing a 2-2 draw. It was also a fairytale ending for Stuart Broad, with the bowler ending his Ashes career by taking the final two wickets.
In terms of the most profitable spread betting markets, the volatile Launch! spread made-up at a fairly low 1729, meaning those electing to sell at the spread of 2885 – 3035 were left with a massive return of 1156x their initial stake!
KIRCHHEIMER V DAMM – X-COURTS (SETTLED AT 126)
Finally, although much of the attention of tennis fans was on the main ATP tour action from tournaments like Washington and Kitzbuhel, there was profit to be made in the second-tier Challenger Tour. At the Lexington Challenger, where notable stars like Jannik Sinner have won in recent years, there was an All-American match-up between Martin Damm Jr and Strong Kirchheimer.
With both players possessing powerful serves and aggressive playing styles, knowledgeable punters would likely have expected a very tight match, and so it proved. With all three sets reaching a tie-break, it was Kirchheimer who ultimately proved too Strong and secured the win 6-7 7-6 7-6 in a 3hr 30min marathon.
Spread betting punters who bought at the X-Courts pre-match spread of 54 – 59 were left with an Ace return of 67x their opening wager.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
