Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Monday & Tuesday's Big Winning Bets

Monday and Tuesday saw a feast of sporting action with the FA Cup 3rd round replays taking the spotlight with Ryan Reynold’s and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham looking to secure a cup upset away at Sheffield United while Burnley hosted Ipswich at Turf Moor. There was also action in the Rugby League Championship with Keighley hosting Featherstone in the opening game of the season.

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from the action!

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

KEIGHLEY V FEATHERSTONE – MATCH CROSS POINTS (SETTLED AT 0)

To kick us off we head to the opening day of the Rugby League Championship opening day where newly promoted Keighley hosted last year's runners-up in Featherstone.

Featherstone were the strong favourites leading up to this encounter having only missed out on promotion in last season’s playoffs, and they quickly showed why they are heavily tipped for promotion this season as they ran in five tries in the first half to no reply.

The second half was nearly a repeat of the first as Featherstone showed the gulf in class between the two sides as they went over for another four tries to no reply meaning the game finished at a massive 50-0 victory to the visitors.

But where was the value for the punters?

Although the match had a total of 50 points the Match Cross Points market made up at 0 (0 x 50 = 0).

With a pre-match spread of 456-504 offered, punters who decided to sell walked away with a staggering 456x their initial stake!

SHEFFIELD UNITED V WREXHAM – SHEFFIELD UNITED GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 1080)

Next, we head over to Bramall Lane as Wrexham looked to secure a fairy-tale victory against Championship Sheffield United after heartbreak in the first game between the two sides saw them squander a lead in added time.

The first half was a tight encounter with little to no action except for a golden chance for Manchester City loanee James McAtee who squandered a one-on-one as he pulled his effort wide of the Wrexham goal.

The second half saw much more action and the hosts were 1-0 up within 50 minutes as Bosnian defender Anel Ahmedhodzic tucked home. The goalscorer then turned villain just nine minutes later as he gave away a penalty gifting the visitors an equaliser through talisman Paul Mullin.

The away side then won another penalty in the 72nd minute which Mullin took again but was expertly saved by Adam Davies to keep the scores at one-a-piece. Wrexham then suffered late heartbreak at the hands of Sheffield United once more as club captain Billy Sharp scored in the 94th and Sander Berge scored in the 96th minute to secure progression to the 4th round and set up a tie with Tottenham.

With Sheffield United getting on the scoresheet twice, taking 12 corners and receiving three yellows the Sheffield United Goals x Corners x Bookings market made up at a massive 1080 (3 x 12 x 30 = 1080). With a pre-match spread of 175-235 offered, punters who decided to buy won a huge 845x their initial stake!

BURNLEY V IPSWICH – 2ND MATCH GOAL (SETTLED AT 3)

Finally, we head to Turf Moor as top of the Championship Burnley hosed third in League One Ipswich Town with both sides looking to book themselves into the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The first game between the two sides saw a stalemate however this game didn’t follow the same suit as Southampton loanee opened the scoring in the second minute before George Hirst levelled for the away side in the third.

The next 87 minutes of the game, like the first game between the two sides, saw little to no action before up stepped Tella to double his and Burnley’s tally for the game in the 94th minute to set up a fourth-round tie with Fleetwood Town.

With the game experiencing an unusually fast start the 2nd Match Goal market made up at just 3. With a pre-match spread of 62-65 offered, punters who decided to sell won 59x their initial stake!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
