Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Monday and Tuesday’s sport was full of drama, including three Premier League games which saw a combined 21 goals, a Champions League clash between two of the best sides in world football and action from the Rugby League Championship.
As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from Monday and Tuesday’s action!
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
BRIGHTON V EVERTON – GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 4800)
To kick us off we head to the Amex Stadium where Brighton and Everton went head-to-head needing wins for very different reasons. The hosts were hoping to keep an outside chance of Champions League football alive whereas Everton were looking to confirm their Premier League status.
Going off the current league standings and both sides' recent form, punters may have expected this to be a routine victory for the hosts. However, Everton shocked the home side racing into a 3-0 lead after just 35 minutes with their first goal coming in just the first minute.
Brighton manager Robert De Zerbi looked to switch things up at half time making four changes, but this was to no avail as Everton took all three points winning the game 5-1.
With the game seeing six goals, six bookings and a massive 16 corners the Goals x Corners x Bookings made up at a whopping 4800 (6 x 6 x 16 = 4800). With a pre-match spread of 1175-1325 offered, punters who decided to buy won a huge 3475x their stake!
NOTTINGHAM FOREST V SOUTHAMPTON – PENALTY SUPER MEGA MINUTES (SETTLED AT 224)
Next, we head to the City Ground where another game with massive implications in the relegation battle was taking place as Forest hosted bottom-of-the-league Southampton with the visitors knowing anything; but a win would all but confirm their relegation.
The Saints got off to the worst possible start as they went two down in just 21 minutes after two smart finishes from Taiwo Awonyi. Just four minutes later Carlos Alcaraz did half the deficit before Morgan Gibbs-White dealt the visitors a sucker blow scoring a penalty with just one minute left in the half.
The action didn’t stop there as Lyanco scored just six minutes into the second half giving Saints fans hope until Danilo restored the hosts' two goal lead in the 73rd minute. James Ward-Prowse did go on to convert a penalty in the 96th minute but it was all too late as Southampton moved eight points adrift from Premier League survival.
With there being two penalties scored and one coming in the 90th minute, the Penalty Super Mega Minutes market made up at 224 (44 + 180 = 224). With a pre-match spread of just 11-15 offered, punters who decided to buy won 209x their stake!
BATLEY V WIDNES – MATCH MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 56)
Finally, we head to the Rugby League Championship where the Batley Bulldogs hosted the Widnes Vikings in a game between two sides aiming to finish in this year’s play-offs.
The game was the complete opposite to the previous two games mentioned with there being only one try scored either side of half-time which saw just 15 points scored as the Bulldogs won the game 11-4 moving themselves joint on points with the Vikings.
But where was the value for the punters?
With there being just eight points scored in the first half and just seven points scored in the second half, the Match Multi-Points market made up at just 56. With a pre-match spread of 430-473 offered, punters who decided to sell won 374x their stake!
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
