Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Monday & Tuesday's Big Winning Bets

To kick off the week there has been a host of sporting action with Comilla Victorians hosting the Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh T20 Premier League, Barrow making the long trip up to Carlisle in league 2 and Newcastle hosting Southampton in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final!

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from Monday and Tuesday’s action.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

COMILLA VICTORIANS V KHULNA TIGERS – KHULNA TIGERS OVER 205 RUNS (SETTLED AT 100)

On Tuesday afternoon Comilla Victorians hosted the Khulna Tigers as they looked to continue their five-match winning streak after a slow start to their campaign whereas the Tigers were looking to bounce back from a three-game losing streak.

The Tigers were put into bat first and got off to the worst possible start when Mahmudal Hasan Joy lost his wicket for just one run. The responsibilities now lay with Tamin Iqbal and captain Shai Hope who put on a fine display scoring 91 and 95 runs to guide the visitors to a very strong 210 runs off their 20 overs.

It was then the Victorian's turn to bat and like the Tigers, they got off to a tricky start losing two wickets for a combined nine runs. However, when it looked like the visitors might cause a shock upset up stood Mohammad Rizwan who fired 73 off just 39 deliveries and West Indian Johnson Charles who smashed 107 off 56 to win the game for the Victorians with eight balls remaining.

With the Tigers having terrible form with the bat in recent matches the spread on them to score over 205 runs before the match was just 1.4 – 9.1. With the visitors scoring 210 in their innings the market made up at 100 meaning punters who bought won 90.9x their initial stake!

NEWCASTLE V SOUTHAMPTON – SEAN LONGSTAFF SMM (SETTLED AT 47)

Next, we head to St James’ Park as Newcastle hosted Southampton in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final with a 1-0 lead after Joelinton’s second-half strike at St Mary’s last week.

St James’ Park was rocking with Newcastle looking to increase their chances of a first domestic trophy since 1955 and the players certainly rose to the occasion as Sean Longstaff put the Magpies ahead in just five minutes before doubling his tally in the 21s.

Che Adams did give some hope for the saint's fans who made the long trip up north just eight minutes later as he fired in from range after a loose ball from Joe Willock, but it wasn’t enough as the home side booked their spot at Wembley to set up a clash with either Manchester United or Nottingham Forest.

With Longstaff only scoring once this season before tonight his SMM spread was just 6-9 pre-match. With the SMM market being the total goal minutes of a player with the second goal minutes being doubled and the third being tripled etc the market made up at 47 (5 + 42 = 47). This means that punters who bought won 38x their initial stake!

CARLISLE V BARROW – CARLISLE TGM (SETTLED AT 322)

Finally, we stay in the North of England as we make the trip to Brunton Park as third-placed Carlisle hosted ninth-placed Barrow in League 2.

The first half saw little to no action before Carlisle defender Jonathan Mellish opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time to send the hosts into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Carlisle showed why they are the top scorers in the division in the second half as they scored four more goals to the reply of just a single goal from the visitors to make it four wins in their previous four games cementing their spots in the automatic promotion spots.

With the hosts scoring five goals and four coming in the second half the Carlisle Total Goal Minutes made up at a whopping 322. With a pre-match spread of 56-64 offered, punters who decided to buy won 258x their stake!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
