SYDNEY ROOSTERS V ST. GEORGE ILLAWARRA – MATCH CROSS POINTS (SETTLED AT 702)
First of all, we head to the Sydney Football Stadium where the Sydney Roosters and St George Illawarra played out a National Rugby League classic as the Roosters secured a one-point victory to close the gap on the playoffs.
The hosts dominated the first half as they soared into a 20-12 lead, scoring three converted tries in the process. In the second Illawarra winger Tautau Moga completed his hat trick of tries to level the scores however two missed conversions from Zac Lomax left the scores level with 21 minutes remaining.
There was then a lull in the game until Luke Keary showed nerves of steel to score a drop goal with just five minutes left on the clock to win the hosts the match by just a single point.
With 53 points being scored in the game and the split being 32 scored in the first half and 21 scored in the second the Cross Points market made up at 702. With a pre-match spread of 395-437 offered, punters who decided to buy won 265x their stake!
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD V DELHI CAPITALS – SIXES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 9)
Next, we head to Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium where two sides who have had slow starts in the competition in the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals went head-to-head.
The Delhi Capitals were put into bat first and stuttered to a total of 144/9 off their 20 overs with Manish Pandey and Axar Patel both top scoring for the visitors with 34 runs each.
Hyderabad then entered the crease and got off to a solid start as their opener Mayank Argawal scored 49 to put the hosts in a strong position. However, from then on Delhi’s bowling was extremely tight with Patel having the standout figures of 4-21 off his four overs.
With the match being a low-scoring game in the context of the IPL and their only being three sixes scored in the entire match the Sixes Squared market made up at just 9. With a pre-match spread of 243-272 offered, punters who decided to sell won 234x their initial stake!
WOLVES V CRYSTAL PALACE – CROSS-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 2000)
Finally, we head to Molineux where two teams who are all but safe from relegation in Wolves and Crystal Palace faced off.
The hosts, who are in a fine run of form at home, took an early lead when Joachim Andersen diverted into his own net after just three minutes. The rest of the game was a typical game between two sides who had little to play for until the 94th minute where club captain Ruben Neves converted his penalty to ensure all three points stayed at Molineux.
But where was the value for the punters?
With five yellows being shown to the hosts and four to the visitors, the Cross Bookings market made up at a massive 2000. With a pre-match spread of 515-595 offered, punters who decided to buy won 1405x their initial stake!
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
