There has been plenty of top quality sporting action this week and we have ran through the markets to find three big winning spread bets from the last few days.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

GOODWOOD FESTIVAL 2ND AUGUST – SP LENGTHS (SETTLED AT 339.79)

The eyes of the racing world have been on Goodwood and Galway this week but it was the former where we saw a big win for buyers on our SP Lengths market.

This is one of our newer spread offerings and is the SP multiplied by the number of lengths the winner won by aggregated for the whole meeting. Before they went to post in the first, the spread was 77-87 and it only took one race before buyers were in the money. The Goat was a 25/1 outsider but romped home by 12 lengths to add 300 to the spread. The remaining six races added 33.79 to leave the market settling at 339.79 with buyers winning 242.79x their stake.

PANAMA WOMEN v FRANCE WOMEN – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 426)

Panama and France locked horns in the Women’s World Cup on Wednesday and it was a thrilling spectacle with the French prevailing 6-3. Whilst the European outfit may well have won, the goal of the day went to Marta Cox whose long range free kick gave the Panamanians an unexpected lead.

With so many goals, it was always likely to be a game that rewarded buyers and those who had the foresight to buy Total Goal Minutes were rewarded handsomely. Before kick off in Sydney the spread was 247-262 but with the market settling at 436 buyers landed a win of 164x their stake.

ESSEX v NOTTINGHAMSHIRE – NOT/ESS (SETTLED AT 168)

After the thrills and spills of the Ashes, attention turns to the One Day Cup and The Hundred with the 50-over competition providing a big win for buyers on the Supremacy spread. Nottinghamshire travelled south on Wednesday to face Essex and they were comfortable winners in what was a tough game for the hosts.

The Midlands outfit batted first and reached a score of 237 all out in the 46th over with Ben Slater the top scorer for the visitors with 79 runs from 101 balls. Essex would have fancied their chances of chasing it down but when their top four batsmen could only muster 11 runs between them, they were always behind the 8-ball.

Bowled out for a miserly 69, it was a day to forget for Essex fans, but with the Supremacy spread at 14-22 before settling at 168 buyers landed a win of 146x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
