Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Another busy midweek of sport is behind us and while there is still plenty to look forward to over the weekend, punters could still find substantial profit to be had from Wednesday and Thursday’s sporting events, including a high-scoring football fixture which left buying punters with 452x their opening stake!
As always, here are three of the biggest winning spread bets from the last two days.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
EDINBURGH CITY V KELTY HEARTS – GOALS CUBED (SETTLED AT 512)
Similar to earlier this week, it was the fairly obscure Scottish League Cup action which once again brought an opportunity for huge profit for savvy punters. In the fixture between Edinburgh City and Kelty Hearts, it was another goal-fest with both sides scoring three goals apiece in a crazy first half, before the away side added two more in the second period to come away with a 5-3 win.
Interestingly, the home side had gone into a commanding 3-0 lead within the first twenty minutes of the match, but Kelty Hearts came roaring back to level the scores before securing their victory. In terms of value for punters, buying the Goals Cubed spread brought huge profit, with a make-up of 512 meaning those that bought at the pre-match spread of just 52 – 60 won 452x their stake!
THOMPSON V MANNARINO – 1ST SET POINTS SUPREMACY THO/MAN (SETTLED AT -16)
For selling punters, the tennis action on the grass courts of Newport, Rhode Island brought an interesting match that provided a chance for profit.
Frenchman Adrian Mannarino is an enigmatic player that is known for a very unorthodox style of play, but those in the ‘tennis know’ are well aware that he can be an extremely dangerous grass court player on his day. However, his Australian opponent Jordan Thompson is no slouch on the lawns himself and gave a good account of himself at Wimbledon a few weeks ago against Novak Djokovic.
However, in a rarity on fast grass courts, Mannarino utterly dominated the first set of this particular meeting and won it 6-0. With the odds slightly favouring Thompson pre-match, and a starting spread of 0.50 – 2.50 on the Tho/Man 1st Set Points Supremacy, a negative make-up of -16 meant a 16.5x return on their opening wager for sellers.
HUMPHRIES V VAN DUIJVENBODE – MULTI LEGS (SETTLED AT 168)
Finally, we look at the darts World Matchplay Round-of-16, where England’s Luke Humphries secured an extremely tightly-contested 14-12 victory over Dutchman Dirk van Duijvenbode. The quality of the darts thrown were very high with both men averaging over 93, and van Duijvenbode grabbed an impressive 170 checkout during the match.
In terms of betting opportunities, spread betting punters who bought at the Multi-Legs pre-match spread of 81 – 88 were left with a tidy 80x return on their initial stake. Bullseye!
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
