Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Wednesday and Thursday's Big Winning Bets

The busy Boxing Day bonanza is on the horizon, but that hasn’t meant poor quality sporting fayre this week, with Manchester City’s 3-2 win over Liverpool the pick of the domestic action on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Ally Pally has played host to some thrilling darts and having thrown 11 perfect darts in a row across two legs, Dirk Van Duijvenbode missed the double 12 to become the first man to hit a nine-dart finish at this year’s World Championships.

We have scoured the results from across the UK, Europe and beyond to bring you three big winning spread markets from the last two days.

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

TOULON v LYON – MATCH MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 0)

There was action from the French Top 14 as Toulon beat Lyon thanks to two first half tries from Fijian winger Jiuta Wainiqolo. Dan Biggar was able to convert one of them with the Welshman also successfully scoring three penalties in the first half, with a sole penalty from Leo Berdeu the only score the visitors could muster in the opening 40.

With the score at 21-3 in favour of the hosts, the second half fizzled out with neither side able to get the scoreboard moving. The result moved Toulon above Lyon in the table and into fifth position.

The second half may have been a damp squib for viewers, but those who had sold on the Match Multi-Points market were quids in as the spread settled at zero thanks to a scoreless second half. Before kick-off at Stade Mayol, the spread was 515-559 leaving sellers to pick up a maximum win of 515x their stake.

EFL CUP ROUND OF 16 – TOP OF THE FLOPS (SETTLED AT 2)

The Top Of The Flops spread is a special market that is played out across different matches and depends on some of the weakest sides getting on the scoresheet. Here, punters had Charlton Athletic, Gillingham, and Lincoln City to go at with the spread on any of the teams’ first goal being 44-47.

Goal-shy Gillingham have only scored five goals in the league this season, so it was perhaps little surprise to see them fail to hit the back of the net away against Wolves on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday, Charlton held Brighton to a 0-0 draw before the London side prevailed on penalties leaving the Addicks as the only EFL side left in the last eight.

Those results were immaterial however, as on Tuesday night Lincoln City had managed to score in the second minute of their clash away to Southampton thanks to an own goal from young Saints keeper Gavin Bazunu.

Sellers were left cheering the Irishman’s misfortune as with the market settling at two, they won 42x their stake.

WEST INDIES WOMEN v ENGLAND WOMEN – WEST INDIES RUNS (SETTLED AT 44)

England made it a clean sweep in their T20 series with the West Indies in emphatic fashion yesterday as they scythed through the hosts.

Batting first, the Windies could only put on a meagre 44 runs in their innings with Djenaba Joseph top-scoring for the hosts as she hit 11 runs. Having scored 106, 125, 140, and 82 in the previous four matches, this was an embarrassing total and England rattled through it in less than six overs to claim victory.

Before play in Barbados, the West Indies run line was 108-114 with sellers landing a profit of 64x their original stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
