CHENNAI SUPER KINGS v RAJASTHAN ROYALS – WIDES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 324)
The return of the IPL has seen some enthralling games already so early in the tournament and Wednesday’s match-up between the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajasthan Royals did not disappoint.
The Rajasthan Royals won the toss and put on a respectable score of 175/8 with England captain Jos Buttler top-scoring with 52 before being clean-bowled by his England teammate Moeen Ali.
The Chennai Super Kings then entered the crease and got within 20 runs of the Royals with just one over remaining. After scoring 14 runs off the first three deliveries just six more runs were needed. With the tie set up perfectly and the pressure on, Shubham Sharma showed his class as his next three deliveries went for just three singles winning the Royals the tie.
Although there was some top-quality bowing on display there was some way off the mark with a massive 18 wides being given meaning the Wides Squared market made up at 324. With a pre-match spread of 127-147 offered, punters who decided to buy won 177x their stake!
MAN UTD v SEVILLA – GOALS X CORNERS X BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 3840)
Next, we head to Old Trafford as Man Utd hosted Sevilla in the first leg of their Quarter Final in the Europa League.
Man Utd got off to the greatest of starts with Bayern Munich loanee Marcel Sabitzer scoring a brace within the first 21 minutes to send the hosts into a commanding 2-0 lead at halftime.
The game looked to be heading to a 2-0 victory for the Red Devils before Lisandro Martinez picked up a knock late on and with Man Utd using up all of their substitutions left the hosts with 10 men. Sevilla then saw their chance to get back in the tie and scored two late goals one coming from ex-Man City player Jesus Navas before Maguire deflected into his own net in the dying moments.
But where was the value for the punters?
With there being four goals, eight bookings and 12 corners in the tie the Goals x Corners x Bookings market made up at a massive 3840. With a pre-match spread of 1275-1400 offered, punters who decided to buy won 2440x their initial stake!
DARTs PREMIER LEAGUE – TOTAL CHECKOUT TON OR BUST (SETTLED AT 886)
Finally, we head to the Brighton Centre for night 11 of the Darts Premier League with the players nearing night 16 which will determine who participates in the playoffs.
Michael Van Gerwen is the current leader with 29 points however last night Gerwyn Price closed that gap to just two points as he put on a dominant display winning his fourth night of the league. The Welshman in his opening tie averaged just under 116 and blew away his opponent Chris Dobey with four 180s and carried this form all the way into the final where he eventually beat PDC World Champion Michael Smith.
Although there was some extremely high level of darts on show there were limited checkouts over 100 with the Total Checkout Ton Or Bust market making up at just 886 for the night. With a spread of 1042-1117 offered before any darts were thrown, punters who sold won 156x their stake!
