whn

This weekend saw a host of top-level international sport with Manchester United travelling to Elland Road to face Leeds United, England facing Italy in the Six Nations and Hertha Berlin hosting Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

As always, we have picked out three big winning spread bets from the weekend’s action!

Please remember that unlike fixed odds betting, when spread betting losses can exceed deposits.

LEEDS UNITED V MANCHESTER UNITED – MULTI-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 0)

First of all, we head to Elland Road where Leeds United faced Manchester United in a re-run of Wednesday night’s 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

The game got off to a scrappy start with a first half which saw three bookings awarded and the most completed tackles in a first half in Premier League history.

The game looked as if it was going to end in another draw between the two sides until Marcus Rashford headed home from Luke Shaw’s cross In the 80th minute to score his 13th goal since returning from the World Cup!

Manchester United substitute Alejandro Garnacho put the game beyond any doubt just five minutes later as his strike flew past Islian Meslier for his second goal in the Premier League.

Although the game saw a combined 23 fouls all three bookings which were awarded were shown in the first half meaning that the Multi-Bookings market made up at 0. With a pre-match spread of 475-575 offered, punters who decided to sell won 475x their initial stake!

ENGLAND V ITALY – MATCH CROSS-POINTS (SETTLED AT 434)

Next, we head to Twickenham where England looked to bounce back from opening-day defeat to Scotland as they faced Italy in the Six Nations.

England got off to a fast start scoring the opening try in just 12 minutes before going over for two more tries to send the hosts into a 19-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was a much closer contest with both sides going over for two tries apiece meaning the game finished with a comprehensive 31-14 victory for England.

But where was the value for the punters?

With 19 points being scored in the first half and 26 being scored in the second, the Match Cross-Points market made up at 434 (19 x 26 = 434). With a pre-match spread of 759-837 offered, punters who decided to sell won 325x their stake!

HERTHA BERLIN V BORUSSIA MÖNCHENGLADBACH – HERTHA BERLIN TGM’s (SETTLED AT 262)

Finally, we head to Berlin where struggling Hertha Berlin hosted Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga.

The first goal of an enthralling game was scored in the 17th minute when Swiss centre-back Nico Elvedi headed home. The home side levelled the scores just 13 minutes later as Jessic Ngankam tapped in from close range to send the sides into half-time level at one goal apiece.

The second half saw the hosts finally finding some goalscoring form in the league after going three games without scoring as they scored three times to no return to register the side's first win since the World Cup.

With Hertha scoring four goals and two of the goals being scored in added time their Total Goal Minutes made up at a whopping 262. With a pre-match spread of 61-69 offered, punters who decided to buy won 193x their stake!

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
