One of the biggest betting weeks of the year is upon us, but before the drama of the Masters and the Grand National, we reflect on a crazy weekend for online betting punters as we pick out three big winning bets.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN v MARK WILLIAMS – O’SULLIVAN/WILLIAMS 10/3 (SETTLED AT -25)

Ronnie O’Sullivan may well be enjoying a remarkable season, but the world number one was unable to add a sixth Tour Championship title to his collection after a vintage performance from Mark Williams saw the Welshman record a stunning 10-5 victory.

There was a packed house in Manchester Central as O’Sullivan took an early lead but Williams managed a sublime run of seven straight frames to take home the trophy and the winner’s prize of £150,000. By the end, O’Sullivan was visibly frustrated with his performance, but those who sold him on the 10/3 Supremacy market will have been secretly delighted.

In this snooker spread betting market, the winner of the match is given 10 points and there are a further three points awarded for each frame won by. With Williams winning by five frames, the market settled at -25 against a pre-match spread of 8.5-11.5 as sellers landed a win of 33.5x their stake.

TEXAS OPEN – AKSHAY BHATIA WIRE2WIRE (SETTLED AT 230)

There was a rare maximum makeup for buyers on the Wire2Wire golf spread betting market this weekend as Akshay Bhatia held his nerve to secure a second PGA title and also secure a place in the Masters which starts on Thursday.

The Californian had led at the end of every round (earning 50 points on the Wire2Wire spread for doing so) but a stellar back nine from Denny McCarthy on the final day forced a play-off which was ultimately won by Bhatia.

In addition to the 150 points accumulated for leading at the end of each of the first three rounds, Bhatia buyers at 9-12 were rewarded with 80 points for seeing their man reign supreme as they landed a maximum possible win of 228x their stake.

RANGERS v CELTIC – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 353)

A jam-packed footballing schedule kicked off yesterday with the ever-dramatic Old Firm and it was another vintage edition yesterday as Rangers twice levelled late on to remain just one point behind their great rivals in the league.

Celtic had taken a two goal lead in the first half but a Rangers penalty from James Tavernier in the 55th minute halved the deficit before Abdallah Sima sent Ibrox mental with a deflected effort in the 86th minute. The crowd were soon quietened when Adam Idah equalised a minute later, but there was still time for more drama as Rabbi Matondo curled in a sublime finish to tie the match up in the third minute of stoppage time.

Late goals are always good news for buyers on the Total Goal Minutes spread which was 141-151 before kick-off but settled at 353 as buyers won 202x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
