Daily Spread Betting Round-up
The first weekend of the domestic season is always a special one and there was plenty of action for football spread betting punters to enjoy. There was plenty going on elsewhere as well and we have found three big winning bets that landed punters plenty of profit.
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
The Championship has a reputation as a chaotic league where anything can happen and once again that proved to be the case on opening day at Elland Road.
Leeds United – the shortest priced team out of anyone in the EFL in our Championship match odds – were held to a 3-3 draw by newly promoted Portsmouth. It was a match which saw Leeds hit the bar three times in the opening ten minutes, two penalties scored, a banger of a goal from Pompey’s Callum Lang and two goals scored in injury time as for the second season running Leeds scored a 95th minute equaliser on the first day of the season.
A game with plenty of chaos was good news for buyers on our Shirts x Goals market with those placing a buy bet helped by Lang’s double whilst wearing the number 49 shirt. Booking points settled at 60 with the spread settling at 9660 against a pre-match spread of 2350 -2700 as buyers won a massive 6960x their stake.
This market is one of our more volatile football spread betting options so please adjust your stake accordingly if placing a trade.
There was a shock in the tennis over the weekend as defending Canadian Open champion Jannik Sinner was dumped out in the quarter finals by Andrey Rublev.
Both Sinner and Rublev had played earlier in the day on Saturday due to rain affecting the schedule, but it was the Russian who has able to prevail 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 against his top seeded opponent.
There will have been cause for concern for Sinner fans with the Italian seeming to struggle with a hip problem. The final slam of the year is just a few weeks away and he is the 11/4 second favourite in our US Open odds.
However, for those who sold on the Supremacy (which was 10-13 in Sinner’s favour) before play began there was a healthy profit to be made. With ten points awarded for winning the match and a further five points for each set won by, the market settled at -15 with sellers landing a win of 25x their stake.
There was a good card of racing at Monmore dogs on Saturday evening with the heats for both the Midlands Gold Cup and the Summer Stayers Classic taking place at the Wolverhampton track.
With a couple of strong favourites winning on the card, there was an upset in the final heat for the Gold Cup with Romeo Crossfire advancing to the semi-finals after beating Ballymac John by a short head.
Tom Heilbron – based out of Newcastle – trained Links Maverick who won the 2023 renewal of the Gold Cup and his charge was sent off with a 50-25-10 spread of 6-8. Romeo Crossfire’s success landed greyhound spread betting punters a win of 42x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
