Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There was plenty of high stakes football played out at the weekend with Manchester City and Celtic taking giant leaps towards clinching titles whilst, in the Championship, the play-offs got underway. There were plenty of online betting opportunities and in our betting blog, we run down the big winning bets of the weekend from the pick of the action.

The Championship play-offs regularly produce some of the most dramatic matches of the season, but yesterday’s pair of first leg clashes were largely devoid of action.
With two of our partner clubs hosting games yesterday, Carrow Road was in the spotlight as Leeds travelled to East Anglia having become just the second side in Championship history to hit the 90 point mark and not achieve automatic promotion.
Leeds’ last three matches in the league had seen 14 goals scores, but there was little goalmouth action as the Peacocks took a 0-0 draw back to West Yorkshire. The second match between Southampton and West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns was a similar affair with both defences on top and another drab 0-0 being played out.
It might not have been scintillating viewing, but for football spread betting punters who sold our combined Total Goal Minutes across both matches, there was plenty of delight in the dour. Before kick-off in Norwich, the spread was 250-265 as sellers won a maximum 250x their stake.
A record-breaking Northampton performance left rugby spread betting punters in clover at the weekend as the Saints ran Gloucester ragged at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday.
The visiting side made 12 changes from their European Challenge Cup semi-final win over Benetton so were always likely to be up against it, but this was still a seismic result.
Northampton raced into a 40-0 lead at half-time before they added a further 50 points in the second half, with Ollie Sleightholme scoring three of their 14 tries. A 90-0 victory was a record home points total in the Premiership and secured Saints a top four spot.
For those buying on the Supremacy at 27-30, a 90-point win saw them collect 60x their stake.
Alongside the Derby Trial, the Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes was one of the main attractions for horse racing spread betting punters over the weekend and a short-priced favourite was overturned on the polytrack.
Remarquee was solid in the market all day with a spread of 27-30 on our 50-25-10 Race Index, but James Doyle’s mount weakened in the final furlong and eventually finished fifth, around five lengths behind winner Great Generation.
For those who placed a sell bet on the Race Index, Remarquee’s unremarkable performance saw the market settle at 0 with sellers winning 27x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
