Daily Spread Betting Round-up
The Premier League was back this weekend and there were goals galore with Newcastle United the big winners as they ran out 5-1 victors over Aston Villa at St James’ Park. But where were the big spread winners from the weekend’s action found?
Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
GETAFE v BARCELONA – MULTI-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 4875)
Viewers who tuned into ITV4 last night to watch Getafe’s match with Barcelona will hardly have been thrilled and indeed those who had the away side to win will have been disappointed that despite being called over to the VAR monitor, the referee stuck with his decision to not award Barca a late penalty.
However, Cesar Soto Grado will have earned himself a spot in the good books of Multi-Bookings buyers as they won 3970x their stake. Before the match, the spread was 785-905 but 65 first half booking points were followed up by 75 in the second half with Raphinha and Jaime Mata both being sent off. This left the spread to settle at 4875 with buyers collecting a tidy sum.
HULL KR v LEIGH LEOPARDS – KICKING METRES (SETTLED AT 203)
Wembley was taken over on Saturday as Leigh and the eastern half of Hull descended on the capital for a Challenge Cup final between two sides who don’t ordinarily get to play on such a stage. Those who had made the trip to London were rewarded with a thrilling game as Hull KR’s last minute try forced golden point only for Lachlam Lam to break Rovers’ hearts with a drop goal to give the Leopards a 17-16 win.
Both sides scored two conversions each and two penalties, including one booming effort from Robins’ half Brad Schneider on the stroke of half time and the success with the boot was good news for buyers on the Kicking Metres spread.
Before kick-off, this spread was 127-137 but a near flawless performance with the boot from both sides saw the market settle at 203 as buyers won 66x their stake.
INDIA v WEST INDIES – IND/WI SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT -80)
The West Indies clinched a famous 3-2 T20 series win over India yesterday in Florida and they did it in some style.
The Indians had set a score of 166 to win with Suryakumar Yadav the only batsman to get going for the tourists as he ended the series with a score of 61 from 45 deliveries. However, the West Indians made light work of the chase in America’s only dedicated cricket stadium with Nicholas Pooran – who was awarded player of the series – scoring 47 and Brandon King smashing 85* as they won with two overs to spare.
An eight-wicket win for the ‘hosts’ was great news for sellers on the Supremacy spread which had favoured India at 5-13, yet with the market settling at -80, those who had sold won 85x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
