Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Another weekend of dramatic sporting action saw plenty of thrills as Jannik Sinner claimed the Shanghai Masters crown in the tennis to deny Novak Djokovic a 100th career title, England overcame Finland in the Nations League, India took their T20 series with Bangladesh with a dominant 3-0 win, Artur Beterbiev became Undisputed light-heavyweight champion against Dmitry Bivol and much more, and as always in our daily betting blog we run through the big spread betting winners from the weekend!

JANNIK SINNER v NOVAK DJOKOVIC: SIN/DJO MATCH SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT 20)
We start with the tennis betting action at the Shanghai Masters and world number one Jannik Sinner showed his class as the undisputed best player in the world at the moment to dominate the Serbian great in straight sets 7-6 6-3 to continue his incredible 2024 season, in which he has already secured the year-end number one ranking.
For Djokovic, who was seeking a historic 100th career title, everything seemed to come down to the first set. After a serve-dominated stanza featuring no break points for either man, Sinner upped the intensity and grabbed the tie-break, which seemed to deflate Djokovic and lead to a drop in level which was ultimately unrecoverable as Sinner grabbed an early break in the second set to cruise to the title.
Incredibly - considering Djokovic's reputation as the greatest returner in the history of the sport - the Serb has not had a single break point against the Sinner serve in the last two matches they've played.
For tennis spread bettors who expected Sinner to dominate, deciding to place a buy bet on our Match Supremacy market proved to be a profitable choice. Buyers returned an Ace 13x return on their initial wager from a pre-match spread of 4 - 7 after a settlement of 20 in Sinner's favour.

FINLAND v ENGLAND - TOTAL CARD MINUTES (SETTLED AT 0)
We move on to the football action and while the Premier League is taking a break, there has been plenty of Nations League action to fill the void. After England's shock defeat to Greece at Wembley, Lee Carsley's men travelled to Finland in hopes of a bounce-back, and they duly got this with a 3-1 victory in Helsinki.
Goals from Jack Grealish and Declan Rice either side of a brilliant free-kick from Trent Alexander-Arnold secured a comfortable win, although the Finns managed to get a late consolation to slightly take the gloss off the performance. The Three Lions remain in second in their Nations League group behind Greece, who extended their perfect run of form with a victory over Ireland.
In terms of spread betting, big profit was on the table not only around goals markets. Punters who decided to place a sell bet on the Total Card Minutes market were also quids in after a match featuring no bookings. With the starting spread at 212 - 242, a final make-up of 0 meant a return of 212x their opening stake!

FABIO WARDLEY v FRAZER CLARKE: COMPLETED ROUNDS SQUARED (SETTLED AT 0)
Finally, we round off on the boxing acton from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia as Brits Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke featured on the Beterbiev - Bivol undercard for their eagerly-anticipated heavyweight rematch after the first fight ended in a contentious 12 round draw.
As it turned out, the second fight was a complete contrast to the first and Wardley scored a crushing first-round knockout which left Clarke in a worrying state with an apparent fractured cheekbone. The fight was called off and Wardley was left celebrating an impressive dominant win.
For boxing punters envisaging an early finish and selling on the Completed Rounds Squared market at a pre-match spread of 85 - 93, a settlement of 0 meant a knockout return of 85x on sell bets!
