Daily Spread Betting Round-up

Weekend's Big Winning Bets

The Premier League took centre stage in one of the busiest online betting weekends of the year. With Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle, and Manchester United all winning, there were plenty of accas landed with punters in clover.

However, this betting blog focuses on our spread betting markets and we have picked out three bets from the weekend’s action where canny bettors secured some profit.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

NEWCASTLE UNITED v SOUTHAMPTON – CROSS-BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 1800)

Newcastle United made a winning start to their 24/25 Premier League campaign against newly promoted Southampton, despite being reduced to ten men in the first half.

Swiss defender Fabian Schar was given his marching orders just before the half hour mark with midfielder Joelinton scoring the only goal of the game for the Magpies on the stroke of half-time.

Craig Pawson was a busy man in the middle which was good news for buyers on our Cross-Bookings market. This is one of our more volatile football spread betting offerings and it consists of Team A’s booking points total multiplied by that of Team B.

With the Geordies picking up 45 booking points and Southampton earning 40, the spread made up at 1800 against a pre-match spread of 470-550 as buyers landed a win of 1350x their stake.

LEEDS RHINOS v WARRINGTON WOLVES – MATT DUFTY SUPER MEGA MINUTES (SETTLED AT 397)

Super League’s Magic Weekend graced the pitch at Elland Road for the first time and after an opening day which saw London and Wigan both secure emphatic wins against Hull FC and Saints respectively, Leeds faced Warrington.

Brad Arthur’s Rhinos really needed a win to keep their faint play-off hopes alive, but a hat trick from Aussie full-back Matt Dufty helped keep his Warrington side well in the mix for the League Leaders’ Shield.

Dufty’s performance handsomely rewarded those who had bought his Super Mega Minutes spread of 39-44 before kick-off. The former St George-Illawarra man opened his account in the 51st minute before scoring again in the 56th minute (this counts double). With the game running away from the Rhinos, Dufty ran in for his hat-trick in the 78th minute (counts treble) as Dufty SMM settled at 397 with buyers winning 353x their stake.

HUNGERFORD STAKES – KIKKULI 50-25-10 (SETTLED AT 0)

The highest class race of the weekend came from Newbury on Saturday as seven horses went to post for the Group 2 Hungerford Stakes, including favourite Kikkuli (24-27 in our 50-25-10 horse racing spread betting market).

Ridden by Oisin Murphy – who will have been hoping to make the news for his performances on the track rather than off it – Harry Charlton’s three-year-old raced keenly before leading in the final furlong.

However, in a blanket finish, Kikkuli came fourth to Tom Marquand’s mount Tiber Flow. With just half a length separating the winner from fourth it was a thrilling race to watch and a brilliant result for Kikkuli sellers who pocketed a win of 24x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
