WEEKEND’S BIG WINNING BETS

England’s Cricket World Cup woes continue, New Zealand were crowned Rugby World Cup winners, and Manchester City claimed the spoils in yesterday’s derby clash.

It was a weekend full of online betting action and there were plenty of big winning bets to feature in our daily betting blog. However, we can only include three and we start in an unexpected place.

Please remember Spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

TRANENT v EAST KILBRIDE EK/TRA SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT -7)

The early rounds of the Scottish Cup may seem an unlikely place to start our betting blog, but for a big winning bet on our Supremacy market, you would be hard pushed to find a more profitable angle than a sell on the East Kilbride/Tranent Supremacy.

For those of you not fully brushed up on your Scottish non-league, East Kilbride currently sit top of the Lowland League with ten wins and two draws from their ten matches. Tranent meanwhile are seven points and three places behind, but you wouldn’t have thought that from Saturday’s match as the visitors romped to victory.

On our football spread betting Supremacy market, East Kilbride were given a 0.7-0.9 start, but they were 5-0 down at the break after four goals from Cameron Ross and a Broque Watson strike. Watson doubled his tally in the second half and journeyman striker Kallum Higginbotham (son of journeyman midfielder and three-time Gibraltar international Danny Higginbotham) made it seven.

Those who placed a sell bet on the Supremacy landed a win of 7.7x their stake, which is a fair chunk on what is one of our low volatility markets.

AUSTRALIA v NEW ZEALANDSIXES SQUARED (SETTLED AT 1024)

We will avoid picking through the bones of England’s latest World Cup performance, save to say that cricket spread betting punters who have sided against England in the Supremacy market in every match so far are now up 566x their stake.

Instead, we look at a thrilling Trans-Tasman clash as Australia beat New Zealand by five runs in a high-scoring World Cup classic. Spurred on by a knock of 109 from 57 balls by Travis Head, the Aussies reached 388 runs before they were bowled out in the final over.

Chasing a huge total, New Zealand fought back with Rachin Ravindra launching 116 runs only for the Black Caps to fall agonisingly short. It was a great spectacle for viewers across the world and for those who enjoy sixes, there were a whopping 32 scored across both innings.

Before the match, our Sixes Squared spread was 238-265 but with a final make-up of 1024 cricket spread betting punters who bought landed a big winning bet of 759x their stake.

NEW ZEALAND v SOUTH AFRICA MATCH MULTI-POINTS (SETTLED AT 90)

Two of rugby union’s most successful nations met in the Rugby World Cup final with South Africa prevailing by just a single point. In a low scoring match, it was generally a game for sellers and one of the biggest wins came in our Match Multi-Points market.

This rugby spread betting bet is settled on the number of points scored in the first-half, multiplied by those scored in the second-half. Before kick-off in Paris, the spread was 390-430, but with 18 first-half points added to by just five in the second period, the spread settled at 90 as sellers won 300x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
