Who were the Big Betting Winners as Everton beat Burnley?

Monday Night Football did not disappoint – on either side of the Pond –as Everton and the Vegas Raiders both awoke from sleepy starts that saw them fall behind to stage thrilling comeback wins. But who were the big winning bettors and what did they back?

What was the score in the Everton v Burnley match?

A dull first half was the precursor to an explosive second, as Burnley took the lead soon after the break, only for Everton to hit back with three goals in six minutes to take the three points with a 3-1 victory.

Ben Mee FGS (priced at 33/1)

The Burnley centre half, always a danger from set pieces, sparked this game to life with the opening goal shortly after half-time, allowing any fixed odds backers to enjoy a 33/1 winner. As we mentioned yesterday, there was money for Demarai Gray first goal at an industry best 17/2. While obviously Gray backers didn’t collect, they did benefit from Spreadex’s First Goalscorer Insurance that gives refunds if your first goalscorer doesn’t score the first goal but does grab the last, as Gray scored the final goal of the game in the 66th minute.

Headed Goal Minutes (settled at 113)

As we pointed out in yesterday’s Top 5 Bets from Everton v Burnley blog, there was plenty of buyers in the Headed Goal Minutes market with the spread at 26-29. With the news that Dominic Calvert-Lewin was injured, that spread actually moved down to 25-28 before kick-off, but with both teams set up to get crosses in, and both a threat from set pieces, buyers banked 85 times their bet. Ben Mee opened the scoring in the 53rd minute before former Claret Michael Keane equalised seven minutes later as centre halves from each side got on the scoresheet with their heads.

Total Goal Minutes (settled at 244)

Buyers in this market, which had a spread of 115-125 before kick-off, enjoyed a profit of 119 times their stake thanks to an amazing period in the second half that saw four goals (and two more disallowed) in the less than 15 minutes. A dull first half gave no clues as to what was in store, and buyers who kept their powder dry until half-time could actually have bought at 88-96 and won 148 times their bet!

Cross-Bookings (settled at 100)

Buyers in this market, with a spread of 200-250 pre-match, will have loved some of the meaty challenges flying in, but referee Martin Atkinson was unmoved by many of them. With another ref, both Richarlison and James Tarkowski might have been in hot water, but Atkinson let the players get on with it. With that attitude from the man in the middle, selling at 200 was the play in this market, with just one booking in each half (Brownhill and Townsend), giving a make-up of 10x10 and a profit for sellers of 100 times their wager.

Who won the Monday Night NFL game between Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens?

In front of more than 60,000 people, the first NFL crowd in Vegas history, the Raiders fell two touchdowns behind early on before staging a mighty comeback that culminated in a Zay Jones overtime touchdown to claim a 33-27 victory.

FG Yardage (settled at 176)

A close game, especially one that goes to overtime, should have more field goals than a blowout, and the 4 FG in this game went over the spread of 3.35-3.65. In terms of yardage, anyone who bought before the game, when the spread was 124-134, made 42 times their stake
